New release, no bottle date but only a week or two old.

A: Pours a clear amber with a big fluffy and effervescent light tan head. Head fades slowly with excellent head retention. Moderate to little slashes of lacing here and there.

S: Nice caramelly sweet citrus. Orange and grapefruit mainly. A little tropical fruit too.

T: Nice punch of sweet citrus and tropical fruit again. Tropical fruit is mainly....mango? Kind of an orange mango grapefruit jumble. Sweetish up front but has a very nice big, big wave of bitterness following in the finish. Hugely bitter and resinous hoppy finish for sure. Almost spicy in a way. Long lingering drying hop resin in the aftertaste with a bit of metallic flavor.

M: Medium bodied, smooth and drying in the finish.

O: Not a bad IPA. Not a huge in-your-face hoppiness up front. Definitely a well balanced east coast style IPA. Nice strong hop flavor and bitterness in the finish spices things up nicely however.

$10.25 bomber from Abe's.

Bright amber with some chill haze, topped by three fingers of oatmeal-white loose foam.

Plenty of grapefruit, plenty of pine in nose.

Thick foundation of sweet malt. Hefty dollop of juicy fruit. Big bitter bite. Double shot of alcohol, but not a belly burner in the aftertaste.

Smooth thick mouthfeel.

An okay IIPA, but the excess alcohol sensation becomes wearisome. Not a beer that could be described as dangerously drinkable. Wouldn't try this again, though I am open to more beers from Brash.

22 oz bottle. Pours golden orange with a medium creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet caramel / crystal malts, tropical fruit and some grassy piney resiny hops.

The flavor is sweet bready crystal malts and tropical fruit with a big resiny piney hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, similar to the Bolllocks with more bitterness and less alcohol. Another solid over the top DIPA.

A - Pours an orange amber color with a thick, white soapy looking head.

S - Oranges, caramel, pine, light astringent citrus, pretty weak overall for a big IPA.

T - Oranges, earthy, light grass, pink grapefruit bitterness, lingering pine bitterness.

M - Full medium body.

O - Well balanced.

On-tap 7/30/13 at Pour Farm Tavern in New Bedford, MA, served in a snifter glass.

A: The beer is a deep amber color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains a great mix of fruity citrus, piney hops and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out very sweet with strong citrus and caramel flavors. Then a strong but not over-powering hops presence comes in. The malt character is hearty and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.

M: Smooth and crisp, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Very tasty, goes down dangerously easy, not too filling, strong kick, very good representation of style, this is a very nice 2IPA to drink for as long as you can handle it.

Pours a clear golden amber with a thick, fluffy, ivory head that pillows. Resiny hops dominate the aroma, which has a touch of citrus but not much else. Flavor, fortunately, is better, boldly hoppy with woody and resiny notes and quite bitter. Hints of Mandarin orange, grapefruit and sweet malt make their appearance. Mouthfeel is firm, and smooth yet lively, leaving a nice hoppy finish. Get down, dirty - and hoppy.

A cloudy, rusty amber color with a solid white head and plentiful swaths of lacing. The nose picks up pine hops and grape nut grain with a hint of coconut alcohol. The flavor delivers a delicious blend of potent pine hop bite and root beer vanilla with a trace of alcohol burn. The body is medium-plus with a fairly oily feel and just a polite bit if carbonation to give it some topography. Beautiful DIPA for sure!

Pours amber with a small head.
Nose shows heavy sweet clean malt with some fruity confectionery and piny hops.
Similar flavours with lots of malt and some pine and resinous hops, but then a massive sharp bitterness rolls through accompanied by a fair bit of booze.
Body feels pretty thick.

Dark orange color with decent clarity. Head stands and grows tall quickly. Nice sticky puffy lacing. A bit cloudy.

Pine, apricot, dank. Medium aroma, not heavy or over-whelming. Very even and unsurprising.

A great IPA. Resinous, sticky, balanced sweetness, pine distributed dryness, stinging bitterness driven from dank west coast hops, sharp caramel filled sweetness. Awesome, well-rounded flavors and feel. Carbonation is a touch too low, but an awesome brew.

Highly recommended, even at $11/22oz. My first experience with Brash was a hit. I hope SKA can step their game up with bombers and compete with the bigger brewers.
