this is everything you'd expect from a blonde ale - light in color, biscuity notes with floral and subtle orange flavor. well carbonated.

it's nothing special, but it could certainly fall into the everyday category.

Light aroma of pilsner malt and herbal hops. Taste has a crackery and biscuity malt backbone with the herbal & tropical hop flavors associated with Australian/New Zealand hops. Highly carbonated with a light body and dry finish. Overall, this is a refreshing beer that falls between a Blonde Ale and a Pale Ale.

Clear pale yellow colour. Smells faintly of pale sweet malts and floral hops. Tastes like it smells; light pale malts, floral hops, hint of earthy hop finish.

Look - Dark yellow to light orange in color. Rocky white head on the pour, faded to a smaller head but with good persistence.

Smell - Light grainy sweetness, a touch of orange cream. Light ester profile reminiscent of Badger Hills other beers (same yeast)

Taste - Starts out with a nice creamy sweetness, mostly grainy but again some citrus notes. As it warms more of the hop character comes out, light piney bitterness, slightly dank, nelson hops maybe?

Mouthfeel - Carbonation is right on, it's slightly elevated which helps to carry the light flavors of this beer.

Overall - A blonde ale should be lighter in bitterness and hop flavor than a pale ale. I think this beer fits that definition, but just barely. Overall this is definitely a well made beer, as the can that I'm reviewing is over 4 months old(!). I was actually quite surprised to see it was that old, it definitely doesn't drink like it. Maybe it's closer to a pale ale when fresh? I'll definitely find out.

L - Beautiful gold with a bit of amber hue and solid one inch pure white head after poured into a tulip glass. Very clear filtered appearance and slight stick on the side of the glass. Would appreciate a lighter tone which would be a bit truer to style.
S - smell includes a hint of light apple, herby hop, a bit of pine and citrus fruit. Very mild smell.
T - taste is not quite what I expected. bready, mildly toasty malt for a blonde ale, off the mark for me - expect more belgian candy & hop presence. almost tastes like an amber ale.
F - mildly carbonated, very light on the palate, dry finish
O - a solid sessionable beer that I would probably not purchase but enjoyed the chance to try.

Light amber with moderate carbonation. 1 inch white head that recedes not too fast, leaving thick lacing along the sides of the glass. Aroma is relatively strong, fruity / citrus hops with just a trace of malts detected. Pleasant and inviting. Initial taste has the hops flavor but a definite malty breadiness, slightly sweet. Good mouth feel. Even thought it is "only" 5% ABV, this is beer has body. Hops and malts flavor continues in the middle and into the finish, with bitterness only showing up in the aftertaste. Overall, this ale has a substantial malt core with lots of hops flavor and the hops bitterness not really showing up until late, providing a nice balance and crisp finish.

Recieved as an extra and packaging date is Sept 2014 so please take the review with a grain of salt.

Pour - Massive head on the pour even if you are just encouraging it out of the bottle. Takes a good bit of time to dissapate.

Smell - Apples, Citrus, and some pine in there

Taste - Nothing massively prominent. Sound fruitiness with a bit of pine and bitterness on the tail end. Nice malt. Really would like to have a recently bottled one to compare against.

Feel - Feels fairly light, but not thin. Well rounded.

Decent beer, but really need to get a fresher bottle to feel it out. Hopefully in the future

I really like this a lot. Outstanding floral/herbal/piney hops on the aroma and taste....a lot of hop flavor without a lot of jagged bitterness...a light.bready malt is perfect as it never asserts itself but lends a sturdy backbone. Definitely drinks more like an APA body wise than some of these session IPA's out there..

Very impressive beer I will buy again. Drank great right out of the can as well.
