So I visited on the 1 month anniversary of the brewery tasting room opening. It is a combination of a small art gallery and a tasting room bar all it what looks like the front room of a house. There is some cool art from local artists on the wall and a medium sized bar with a couple of indoor tables. There is additionally some seating outdoors which would be really great on a nice weather day.
Beers were extremely fresh and very enjoyable.
One of the brewers was acting as the bartender on the time I visited, he was friendly and obviously knowledgeable about the beers. He served us promptly and was happy to chat about the beers, the brewery, and future thoughts.
This is a small brewery that is just starting up and they are offering all of their current beers, which is just 3. As they offer some additional beers, I'm assuming they will offer those at the tasting room as well.
As of right now, they only can sell you samples of the beers (about 1/4 to 1/3 a pint) and growlers to go - a set of 4 samples is $8 and you get to keep the pint glass.

A really fun little brewery out on the end of Long Island. Some great regular selections and some tasty seasonal brews. This is a must visit when you're in Montauk. Pick up a six pack or several at local stores, you can get a glass or a growler filled here.

Small friendly place. Cans are contract brewed, but they just started brewing small rotating batches in house. 6 beers on tap. Prices are pretty reasonable (especially for Montauk) $8 for 4 samples $11 32oz growler fill. One of the brewers was at the bar and happy to chat about all the beers and the brewery itself. Beers were all decent. In addition to the standard offerings we had a very good Hefeweizen, and I thought the session IPA was possibly the best example of the style I had tried.

The wife and I (and now our little dude) head to Montauk every Columbus day weekend with our friends and their kids. Showed up this year and, lo and behold, there is a brewery. Not only is there a brewery, but it is literally right next to our hotel!
VIBE: We headed over on the Sunday afternoon...walking in to a very small area, there was a small stand-up table, set off in the corner for two (maybe 3 if you crowd in) people to stand and a long bar with 3 taps. The place is very clean with that new wood construction smell. One long wooden picnic table with a couple of umbrellas in front of the building to bring your samples/growlers outside.
SRV: I chatted up one of the owners who was also pouring samples and growlers. Very nice guy and very knowledgeable/ready to shoot the s*it about his operation and beer in general. Small batches are being brewed on premises, with the remaining larger batches being brewed upstate.
SEL: There were three beers on tap, Driftwood (ESB), Gale Force (blonde ale) and a hefe that I cannot remember the name of.
Q: Nothing blew me away, but nothing was bad. All three samples were pretty much right down the middle of the road. The ESB was my favorite of the three, but even that was not enough to push me to grab a growler.
VAL: The tasting got you 3 four oz samples (other 2 reviews here said 4 four oz samples, either they changed that or I missed something and screwed myself out of a sample) plus the pint glass for $8. Good value. Growler fills were $16 if you had your own growler, $22 if you needed theirs. $22 seemed a little steep for a growler fill when compared to the fact that I normally pay $12-$16 for solid, established breweries growlers. They do not sell any beer by the glass.
Overall its nice to see another startup on LI and everyone there was super nice, the whole shebang was a slightly above average experience. They are just starting out so Im not going to be too crtical as Im sure the lineup will expand and recipes might even be tweaked. If you are going to grab a growler to go, take it two doors down to St. Peter's Catch, grab a fish and chips or some fish dip with crackers and jalapenos if you're into the spice (trust me it sounds weird but it works big time) and hang out on the front deck.

Vibe: Although the brewery is located in the town of Montauk, it is situated in a secluded location near the movie theater and away from the endless streams of tourists walking along Route 27. The taproom isn’t that large and only has a bar and two tables but there is a long picnic table outside. The photos on the wall dubbed as an art gallery of landscapes from the local area and an engineering drawing showing a plan view of the brewery’s future equipment layout.
Quality: Each of the beers that I tried were very interesting and quite flavorful and drinkable. An ESB is a very interesting selection of a style to launch a brewery with, but it was very enjoyable and could appeal to a variety of craft beer drinkers.
Service: The beers were served by one of the three local brewers that graduated from East Hampton High School, who was very friendly and carried on conversations with many of the customers.
Selection: The brewery is just starting up and contract brewing their beers elsewhere before the equipment arrives so the selection was limited. Only one beer (Driftwood Ale) was available for growler fills, while three beers (Driftwood Ale, Fishing Vessel Porter and Gale Force Golden) were available for tasting.
Value: The samples that I tried were very reasonably priced. $8 got you four ounce samples of each of the three beers, an additional four ounce sample of the one you liked best and a pint glass with the brewery’s logo on it.
