On tap at 101 Wine & Beer in Wendell NC. A dark amber color with thin tan head. Aroma of rich roasted malt and caramel. Mouthfeel is medium with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, toasted bread, cracker, some hops for balance but definitely a malt-dominate beer. Overall: quite pleasant and too easy drinking for the ABV level.

Original rating had this confused with Big Oak. This is the one RO product that I like ok, just not a lot. A little to the plus side of average. It is a good beer, just not one that I would seek out.

Took a growler home with me from work, from what I understand this was released a week ago.Poured into a half liter stein a deep rich bronze with a thinner slightly off white head, the color was full wich is why the higher score.Aromas are faint with only residual caramel sweetness and faint grainy notes.Flavors are on the sweeter side with caramel and toffee, honestly not much more, there is mild grainy malt notes but it is not packed with flavor or complexity.Another ho hum lager beer from Red Oak,I miss the old brewpub a little where the beer was fresh and their wings rocked.
