American IPA brewed with Citra hops. This will be available ONLY in our tap room and only for growler fills and pints. This beer reminded us of an orange creamsicle, so we'll have an ice cream truck on site Thursday for your beer & ice cream pairing pleasure. This is a benefit for Therapeutic Wilderness Awareness Month, and $1 from the sale of every growler fill and pint will be donated to the Jason William Hunt Foundation, helping at-risk youth through outdoor education and leadership programs.

Flavor bomb NEIPA. Despite the description, this can be found on tap outside their location. Notes that make me think of apple juice. Very easy to drink and has good flavor retention from tip to throat.

L: Pours a pale gold to deep gold color with medium plus haze. The pour produces two fingers of a fine, white head with ok retention. As the beer goes down it leaves a light spotty lacing on the glass.
S: Tropical notes, lime notes, big impression of orange creamsicle, a touch of grainy malt character, delicate herbal notes, and lactose sugar with a bit of yeast character.
T: I get orange creamsicle mixing with a bit of bitter citrus pith and blood orange flesh, lactose sweetness, herbal notes, and a light grainy malt character. The sweetness/juiciness intensifies as the beer opens up and washes out the citrus complexity and herbal character with the light bitterness on the backend disappearing as the residual sweetness wins out.
F: Medium to medium plus body with a medium-light carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with minimal dryness on the finish.
O: This is a good single hop citra beer and definitely an OG classic, but.... I wanted more dryness on the finish and it also edges up on being almost too sweet once it opens up. And after having gone through a four pack on longer sessions this one definitely became a bit too sweet for me. Your mileage will vary; if you are out at a bar with the boys and having a few you may quaff this one before the cloying nature becomes an issue. It goes without saying that on tap this is a much better with the mouthfeel being a bit fuller and creamier and the herbal hop character a bit more intense.

Tasty! Smooth and easy going down, a smidge of sweetness, citrusy, not a lot of head. Recommended!

Tried this on a whim at a restaurant as I’m always seeking a new beer. Just an excellent beer. By far one of the best that I’ve ever tasted. I’ve had Pliny the Elder and Bells Two Hearted which are two top recognized beers and both very good but I’d personally take this one over them. Flavorful, smooth and sweet which I prefer with low bitterness for me. Really enjoyable. Always keep some on hand. Go to one for me.

Pint can, a month since canned, in a teku glass.
Thick orange color, dense yet not hazed. The cap, tall and pure white fondant, sits up and hold up. Soapy lacing.
As for aroma, I’m picturing a ziplock bag full of citrus, a lemon, lime , orange, grapefruit, tangerine, along with peach and apricot. They’re all sliced and left to stew for a day or two til the aromas pop. Rind comes through and there’s a slightly dank background.
Yes, it’s an orange creamsicle flavor.
Near full bodied. Creamy and juicy at the same time. Citrus hops with little to no bitterness.
Yeah, it’s good.

Had this at the Tavern in Westfield MA. It surprised me a bit as it looked more like orange juice. The consensus on the smell was more grapefruit than pineapple. It didn't have that mouth numbing quality that some IPAs have, which to me was nice. Time to put on some Europe '72.
