Well ballenced, nice mouth feel, lacing and head is missing. A slight hint of smoke or Rauch Beir. Nothing bad just leaves a question of quality without the lasting head and lacing.

On tap at Max's Wine Dive - Fairview (Houston, TX). Very dark brown with a modest head of tan foam. Roasted grains, burnt caramel, molasses form a solid malt body with some toasty, savory leaning notes balancing out the sweetness. Medium body and carbonation with a creamy feel. Very drinkable roasty brew - malt forward without any overt sweetness.

Tastes a lot like the typical homebrew from the eighties..."Let's see, I have some caramel malt and Munich malt..and here's some chocolate malt.." Nothing at all wrong with this beer, just not what I expected when I read "Munich Dunkel" 'cause it sure as hell ain't that. None of those toasted grain flavors are appropriate in a Munich Dunkel. Easy to drink though with a creamy texture and huge khaki head. Roasted grain dominates with no serious off-flavors. Call it a light Porter and it's a world-beater!
