500mL bottle from the brewery.

Gorgeous, bright, pale yellow with a long lasting, creamy white lace that sticks. Soft, bready aroma with light floral notes. Light-bodied, but smooth, creamy and effervescent. Flavor brings more breadiness, toasty grains and suggestions of honey that's balanced out with a smack of lemon that's semi-sharp and adds to this lager's dry, crispness. Herbal and grainy in the finish. Insanely drinkable.

Helles yeah!

Bottled 3-23-18. Provided by Lingenbrau

It is a crystal clear bright gold with a very fizzy, quickly dissipating bubby white head. It does retain a bit of suds on top that is easily agitated and leaves some spotty sticky lacing.

Smells almost like Honeycomb cereal with a sweet cereal like grain and a little bit of that (good) skunky Euro lager yeast and malt.

It tastes even better. Slightly sweet biscuit like bread, and a little bit of a herbal/floral flavor with a hint of lemon over top of the yeast.

Crisp dry finish with a little residual hop flavor and resin feel. Definitely some lingering bitterness. Insanely drinkable. Really trying to pace myself so I don’t run out before I am done typing.

Maybe just a tad hoppy, but clearly one of the best American Helles I have had. Probably a toss up with Sixpoint Alpenflo.

It pours a perfectly clean golden color with a rocky bone white head that is constantly supported by the strings of single filed bubbles rising in the glass. The patchy lacing is very impressive.

It smells light and refreshing. Like the beginning of Spring itself. Freshly cut grass and even more freshly baked biscuits. A mild hint of soap may be the only negative, but not in my opinion.

And it tastes exactly as it's aroma suggests. A good dosing of biscuits balanced with fresh and wonderful wild flowers and grass.

As if you couldn't tell by it's appearance, this is supremely light, dry, well carbonated and wonderfully refreshing. Not to mention perfectly balanced.

This is a near perfect Helles as far as I'm concerned. Especially hailing out of the U.S. pFriem knocks these classic styles out of the park, and this one proves it again. Prost!

On tap at Belmont station the other day.

The beer pours a pale gold color with fairly decent head retention and light lacing. The nose is attarctive enough as well, as I get light honey, some cookie dough and a hint of citrus. On the palate however, this is just a thing of beauty. The beer is incredibly clean, light and drinkable, and is the perfect beer to suck down by the gallon on a warm summer's day (mowing the lawn or whatever). The flavor profile generally replicates the nose, but this beer epitomizes the expression "easy drinking." Mouthfeel is pretty light, as you expect, but the beer delivers an impressive amount of flavor for a 4.8% beer.

Tried this beer side by side a BA RIS and a DIPA, and it still held its own just fine. Impressive. I'm not sure I've ever had a finer domestic helles lager.

The label calls this "Helles Lager." From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Central Market north of Seattle. Aroma and flavor are like a Kölsch with the sharp, perfumey note. There is a honey taste and a moderate sweetness. Frothy and spritzy in the mouth.

This has that Cream of Wheat taste of a yeasty wheat beer or even a Saison. The finish is sharper with some lemony acidity. Moderate bitter finish, almost like a PIlsner. Overall this is a very flavorful light beer that doesn't feel light at all. Definitely a tasty and robust version of what can be a pretty anemic style.

What else could you want from a Helles? Beautiful clean, bubbly appearance that tells you right away you're in for a crisp, clean and refreshing beer. The aroma is mild, but that's what there is, I just wish for a little more fragrance. The flavor is absolutely amazing. That bisquitiness is exquisite! Maybe if I were in Deutchland where I could get a helles fresh from the source it might surpass this, but certainly no import has. If they sold this year round I might have a difficuct time getting around to many other beers. This is Bier with a capital B.

These guys dont make a bad beer. One of the best lagers I've had in a long time. Had it on draft at a tap takeover.
