Fresh Hood River cherries added to barr l aged lambic ale. 10 months later there are flavors of cherry pie with a dry and tangy finish. Very satisfying

2016, seems bigger than 5.6%.
Nice fruit and funk in the flavour and aroma. Well attenuated, but not too dry.
This is really nice, and can certainly run with the Belgians!

Hazy, raspberry colored body with a decent head.
Moderately tart, or higher, with a dominant fermented cherry flavor. Nice fruity (cherry) finish. Juicy and tangy.
Light yet lively carbonation.

375ml corked/caged bottle split between a couple of small Cantillon glasses. Bottled on 05/10/16.
Pours a slightly hazy ruby/pink with a tiny white head. Smell is nicely tart and surprisingly funky. Darkly fruity.
Taste is similar -- nicely tart, a little fruity, clearly funky (but not overpoweringly so). Good, but different take on a kriek in my experience.
Mouthfeel is good but not really notable. Smoothish, dryish, medium...not bad. Overall, pretty good.

Well, this right here is a delicious beer. Appropriately understated sweetness with mellow tartness and nice cherry profile. Super easy to drink. If you can find it, get it.

375ml bottle poured into a teku
Bottled 5/10/16
A- initially opens up with notes of manure, porta-John and state fair. Lighter aromas of hay, black cherries & balsamic vinegar underneath
T- initially opens up with dark cherry sweetness, immediately followed by a tartness that gives hints of lemon. Mid-palate drops off and becomes a bit watery, the finish gives more cherry with a longer of earthy, funky barn, with more lemon
M- light bodies with bubble effervescent carbonation leads to a light and bubble mouthfeel and a crisp dry finish
O- it's got potential, but the flavors seem a bit off at this point

i think this is the same base lambic style as they use for their peche. the cherries however overpower it just a little in a way that the peaches never did. i get a little more fruit than wild on this one, a little more sweetness that covers up some of the funky nuance, and a little less refreshment overall, but its still sensational beer. the base lambic is really impressive, thats i think the most incredible thing, is just how good that beer really is. the cherries here are pink and tart, but they do bring plenty of sweetness to the mix as well, and its not as patiently fermented down it doesnt seem as the peach one, or maybe they were shooting for a little more residual sugar here, im not sure, but its there. the flavor of the fruit is awesome though, and the sourness is still there, maybe even stronger than the peach one, more acidic and tangy all the way through, but the bretty wild musty funky side isnt as developed, or rather covered up a little bit here. i really like the flavor and the feel though, which is bubbly and very much alive, puckery the whole time. although i think i prefer the peach version for its subtleties, this is an amazing kriek, packing a huge cherry flavor and enough beery aspects that its very much still lambic underneath. wonderful beer.

Bottle share on 6/11/16. Pours a nice mahogany with a small wispy head. Cherries up front, as expected for a kriek. Taste doesn't depart, although this also very tart, but more fresh fruit than candy sweet.
