Pours deep, dark brown where light only passes along the edge of the glass. Frothy head that leaves some slippery blanketing lace.
Initially, I get a strong soured cherry nose. Without prior knowledge I would guess a Kriek from the nose.
The flavor is sour from start to finish with a bit of berry sweetness (from the Eisbock) deep in the background. Despite the dark color, I get no deeply roasted malts at all. I like the balance between the sweet and the sour. The carbonation is fine (as in small bubbles) and the body is rich but not thick if you can picture what that might be.
This is one of those rare, truly special, beers that one should seek out. It's not only unusual but it's extraordinary.

Yet another offering from BFM.
Label says, and I quote:
"Bizarre blend of frozen half ice bock, aged in Rum barrel and Mc Vin barrel 100% blended in the Swiss Mountains."
Bizarre indeed!
Semi-vigorous pour yields a 1/2 inch off-white head that reduces to a ring shortly thereafter. Nose of sourness and some sort of cherry/raspberry candy. Sour Patch Kids? Very intriguing on the nose and the palate. Slight balsamic vinegar taste comes through. Damn, this is good! Nice feel and will definitely have and share again!

Truly a bizarre beer. semi-deep brown, average head. Huge aromas of rum, cherries and dark fruits, almost nose singeing. Taste is bold with a ton of sourness, tart cherries, rum, figs, raisins and such. Mouthfeel is slightly stinging and this one is a great sipper for a cold winters night. It does have a somewhat slightly weird medicinal taste but to me does not play too much of a factor. Finish is sweet and sour, almost candylike with a good bit of rum, some malt and has the lambic feel.
