This amazing beer was created the day we commemorated the 7th anniversary of the Brasserie des Franches-Montagnes. The opening days, held every year on the first Saturday of November, are the opportunity for the brewer to devise a new recipe.
This one-off impressed B. United International Inc.'s boss so much that he asked for it to be brewed again just for you lot across the Pond. It is brewed using a combination of 6 aroma hop varieties, which give it a moderate bitterness and a complex bouquet evolving over time. Yes, because Cuvee Du 7eme will improve over time, you should stash it away in a cellar.

330 ml bottle. Pours hazy amber with tall, long-lasting, foamy off-white head and lively carbonation. Nose is of sour dough, caramel malt and red fruit. Body is medium and smooth. Taste is very bitter, sour and weird. I could not finish the bottle. Weird brew.

Pours hazy, orange-brown in color, with 1/3 inch head. Taste is similar to a witbier: oranges, lemons, and a bit of sourness. Above average, tasty, and smooth. Decent beer, but there are others I prefer in the style.

on tap at bull and bush, man have they ever stepped up their guest tap game, you dont see BFM stuff very often here, especially on tap, very cool to drink one of these last night. its ruby red in color, a little lighter than a glass of wine, but about equally still, and of a similar shade. the nose is super weird, it smells funky and almost sour, but maybe blended with nonsour beer, its very strange. the is a red wine tannic property as well, and its extremely fruity with notes of black cherries and currants. it doesnt taste anywhere near as funky as it smells, and has properties like good stingo type, malty, fruity, and just a little tart. the fruitiness is intense, there must be some fruit in here, and the red wine flavors are there as well, not sure where from. its a bit sweet, and very thick on the palate, dense without hardly any carbonation. its unique beer to say the least, i taste something different every sip, but by the time the glass is gone, i am ready to move on. as special as these beers all seem to be, the quality has yet to really justify the price points. this one is weird and good, but not a ten bucks a glass beer, not by a mile.
