Prying out the cork releases a tart sour nose with a little funk, lemon and herbs and hint of spice.
It pours hazy peachy gold under a finely bubbled 1" snow white foam cap.
Salt and fruit initiate the palate - peach and plum, some malt in the background which gives way to a lemony tart finish. The interaction between the tart and the salt is very interesting. The salt and the herbal qualities give it a slightly savory character. Not much hop bitter action.
Light and very exquisitely carbonated like a gueuze or a Berliner Weiss.

Appearance: golden orange with a gauzy film and good lacing

Aroma: pungent, grassy hops with a touch of citrus. bright, belgian yeast complexity. apricoty malt sweetness. there is a faint rubber scent, unfortunately, but it is easy to overlook

Taste: a very bold collection of flavors. strong hop flavors lead the way, with Cascade and Hallertau doing much of the work here. bright-fruit belgian maltiness. the salt presents at the finish and accentuates the flavors preceding it. the mouthfeel is sufficient to carry these strong elements but not clumsy

Overall: this is complex and different. the salt is evident and i really like it. i will now investigate adding salt to my homebrews. my new favorite Swiss beverage
