Nice appearance in the glass. It had a golden color as the name suggests but it had a strange cloudiness which I did not expect and is very unusual for this style. Small head, that dissapated quickly. The beer had a nice aroma filled with hoppiness and some citrus. Tha flavor followed with more hoppiness and citrus with a slight bitterness on the back end. This was nice beer to drink and would recommend it to British beer lovers.

1 pt. Oval dark green bottle into a pint glass. Dating is unclear.

Looks good enough in the glass. Clear medium golden yellow body. Bright white head persists in lesser form throughout leaving a spider's web of lacing.

Interesting aroma. Fruity, musty, malty, even a touch alcoholic.

On tasting, immediately transported back to the old countrye. A typically English pale/golden ale with homeland hops and malts. Nicely balanced, easy drinking.

Mouth medium, finish a little bitter with a featherlight spice hit.

Overall, eminently sessionable, tasty, well balanced truly British drink. And the bottle itself is outstanding.

Golden color with a thin head.
Malty and fruity aroma with notes of crude malt, red apples (almost cidery) and lemon.
Likewise, flavor with notes of floral and English hops, lemon rind, pale malt and crude grains. Dry aftertaste with a decent bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Refreshing English Golden Ale that transits between the Ales and Lagers worlds.

I always enjoy beers from St. Peter’s even though they are not particularly remarkable. This one is as advertised. Golden color, decent white head and lacing. Bread, slightly earthy taste and smell. Actually pretty good.

Simply the best. Beautiful color, great mouthfeel, excellent hoppy ale taste. Brings me back to the undergrad days.

MJ's 1999 "Guide" gave this 1.5 of 4 stars calling it a "summery flagship that is softly flowery , but less memorable."

From Club del Gourmet of El Corte Ingles El Duque. In Ikea's pint glass. After dinner. Both sweet and bitter, with the typical english earthy bitterness a bit above the sweetness hiding the watery texture well. Very drinkable. Naty aspect though, without any foam
