A 750ml bottle, batch bottled on July 22nd 2017. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.

Appearance: A hazy copper orange colour with a big almost three finger off white head that had pretty good retention while leaving some nice lacing.

Aroma: Tart, citrus orange, orange rind, funk, with hints of tropical mango, pineapple, grassy and floral.

Taste: Tart, sour, citrusy orange peel, orange, funk, oak with some light floral and grass and maybe some apricots.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Overall: Quite nice, but not quite as good as the other Ale Apothecary beers that I’ve tried so far.

This one pours a slightly hazy light orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like sour citrus, pale malt, orange, and acidity.

This isn’t quite as jaw dropping or complex as some of the Ale Apothecary beers I’ve had. That doesn’t mean it’s not tasty though. There’s a pleasant fruity sourness- orange and lemon, with a bit of maltiness, and a high level of acidity.

This is light bodied, crisp and pretty clean, with a good level of carbonation.

All of this brewery’s beers are very enjoyable. This isn’t their absolute best, but it’s still quite a nice beer anyways.

Bottle shared by Darrell. Thanks man!

Hazy, rusty copper hued body with an inch of foamy, off-white cap. Looks akin to a Belgian tripel. Yeast, funk, white grape, a hint of green apple. Medium bodied, bright carbonation. Mild sweetness. Solid.

Hazed copper orange colour, one finger of white head, little to no lace. Smell is funky and vinous, oak and brett, lots of fruity hops as well but they were probably more vibrant when this was fresh, lemon and orange notes as well. Taste is tart and quite sour, barrel tannins, fruity, lemon, peach and orange, dry with a quick finish.Lightly carbonated, medium body. Nice but seemed to be lacking a little something to make it better.

Pours a deep clear chrysanthemum colour with 2 fingers of tight off white head which lingers.

Scent is burnt sugar, white pepper and coriander. Finishes with with tart tropical fruit, of lychee and pineapple.

Mix of wild funkiness, dank and musky, together with tart underripe peaches. Finish is tart and sour tangy. The tannins of the wine barrels are evident on the finish.

Tropical and tart, a thoroughly enjoyable wild ale, but much less complex than other AA offerings. Worth trying once but not complex enough to justify the price tag.
