Packaged 3/10/15.

Pours a murky light whitish-orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Thin streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of wheat, grain, citrus fruit, and dried citrus peel aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus juice, dried citrus peel, and slight spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop and spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with light and refreshing citrus flavors.

Serving type: can.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a semi-pale burnt yellow/cream white/almost orange sort of color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a mild pace. Some stringy lace. The aroma had some orange peel, white pepper, citrusy/lemon pulp sweetness, light grassy sweetness, some breadiness and ended with just a little bit of sweet wood. The flavor seemed to bring most of that together somewhat sweetly with a light touch of spice. Light earthiness presented itself here slightly. Aftertaste was the full on effect of the bready/yeasty Belgian sort of quality playing with the spice. Finish was exactly the same. The palate was between light and medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good too. Good amount of smoothness along my tongue. Overall, pretty good witbier by an American brewer. I could have this again.

Pours hazy dark honey with a fluffy head. Smells clean with some citrus hops. Tastes like the watered down smell. Mouthfeel is watery with tang of the hops. Overall, an OK beer that has a clean flavor.

L: Pours hazy straw under a 3” white to cream colored foam cap that takes 3 minutes to recede to 1/3 its original size.

S: Wheat, citrus, faint herb and spice aromas.

T: A wheat and citrus palate that lingers with tartness and light hop spice. Faint banana.

F: Very creamy, medium body and medium high carbonation. The carbonation is very soft.

O: A drinkable, refreshing Wit.

Gorgeous appearance with a light hazy pineapple juice color. The head is IPA-like and retains 2 fingers throughout the tasting. The lace is webby and creamy. The body is 90% opaque.

The smell is actually somewhat like an IPA, with fruity orange peels (and JUST the peel), pine, grapefruit, and malts. It smells more like a malty IPA. I really think this is unique, but it smells nothing like a tradtional Witbier.

The flavor is lemon, orange peel, slight pine, and a big malty presence with wheat and barley. I do enjoy it, it's comforting and warm and delicious, but this is a far-fetched flavor for a Witbier.

The beer feels nice on the palate, with a dense body, light creaminess, and exciting appropriate carbonation.

My overall personal thoughts... if they were to put "Hoppy Wit" or "Witty IPA" or something similar on the label, this would be a homerun and a great fusion. I have a high tolerance for style, so this one didn't bother me much and it really IS delicious...but DO NOT expect a fruity, wheaty Wit. This leans more towards a warm IPA with wit accents.

12-oz can poured into an American pint glass.

This wit is a thin looking and slightly cloudy pale yellow color. It poured a decent head, appropriate for the style. It has a strong citrus smell.

It terms of general flavor, wit biers are one of my least favorite styles. This one is not bad. There is a strong lemon flavor, but nothing else is distinct. There is a mild hop aftertaste.

The beer is strongly carbonated. This with the lemon flavor and smell would make it a very good hot day beer.

Overall, this is a fine enough. I could see it as a good camping beer, which is of course one of the selling points of Base Camp's beers.
