L: Average IPA appearance, maybe a little lighter than normal
S: Smells as the style should - considering its very low ABV it's not missing anything
T: Again, considering the low ABV, there is a lot packed into this. It's not breaking any new ground, but you get hops, a bit of citrus fruit, and a lingering bitterness - just what you want from an IPA, but with driver-friendly alcohol.
F: Light, but you'd expect that. Very drinkable.
O: I'm really impressed with this. It shows that lowering alcohol doesn't mean sacrificing taste. A superb session IPA that does exactly what it promises.

This may not be a top notch Session IPA but I thought it was flavorful.
(L) It has a hazy amber hue with an inch thick white head.
(A) The aroma was modest with pine and grapefruit.
(T) The taste was pine, grassy, grapefruit, and it was dank.
(F) Light and easy drinking.

interesting little session ipa right here. thanks to the beerliner guys for sharing this one with me. its golden and bright and crystal clear honey colored in the glass under a full inch of white head. the nose is pretty juicy, with hints of pine too, but the hops just dont really come on in the flavor very much. the beer is sweet from the grain, seems like they cut fermentation short to keep abv low rather than scaling back the grain bill adequately. i dont dislike the sweet, and it actually compliments the pine hop elements, but the hops are just too subtle for this to make much of an ipa. i like the feel though, it has a good bit of body to it for being so low in alcohol, and its real well carbonated. bitterness could be ramped up a little bit to balance. in the end, this one felt more like a pale ale to me than an ipa, nothing wrong with that. my first beer from these guys is a little bit of a let down on the whole, just pretty generic flavor profile to this one, nothing really memorable at all about it, although the name is clever...

Whuf. Tons of flavor considering the abv, but not in a good way. Not even remotely balanced or "sessionable", not mellow enough for a session ipa or pale, but also not enough weight to hold its own with the big boys. It's like sucking on hop cones but there's nothing behind it to support it.
All- around, it's very, very similar to meta modern, but worse - a lot worse. The comparison does it no favors, but it's so darn similar - it just doesn't work. Avoidable.

CAN review:
APPEARANCE: Head is about 1 finger wide. White colour. Sticky and frothy, with cobwebby lacing. Not an even consistency, but stringy and coating. 2 minute retention.
Body is a dark copper of average vibrance, with no visible yeast or sediment.
AROMA: Pine needles, floral notes, vague citrus, hop oils, and pale malts. Seems balanced.
Aromatic intensity is average.
TASTE: Depth of flavour is average. Pale malts mingle with restrained floral hop notes, pine, and hop oils.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, overcarbonated, oily, medium-bodied.
OVERALL: Drinkable and enjoyable, but a bit lacking in terms of flavour. I'll enjoy finishing the glass, but I'm not thrilled about drinking the remaining 5 in the 6 pack.
