Notes / Commercial Description:
Va-va-voom! Our Temptress is seduction in a glass. Curvy in all the right places, this Imperial Milk Stout pours with a thick, milk chocolate head. Chocolate and caramel malt give it a rich and complex body while the lower carbonation gives the beer a silky mouth feel. She’s voluptuous, with a soft alcohol warmth that grows deeper with every sip. Take your time with her and she’ll reward you.

Poured at 47°F from a 12oz bottle (bottled 17Mar16) into a tulip. Allowed to warm up to 50°F before reviewing. Consumed on on 26Sep16.
SMELL: Strong plum, fig, black cherry, bittersweet molasses, and sweet chocolate aromas are balanced and backed by mild aromas of vanilla, tree nuts, cream, bitter roasted malts, bittersweet coffee, caramel, and toffee.
4 out of 5
TASTE: The profile commences with a strong, balanced sweetness from flavors molasses, figs, plums, and black cherries. Strong flavors of sweet chocolate and mild bitter roasted malts quickly trail without impacting the delicate balance of the beer. Mild caramel, toffee, and cream flavors fused with subtle flavors bittersweet coffee melt into the profile while continuing to maintain the balance. The taste theatrical concludes with an undisturbed balance of mild vanilla and tree nut flavors as the bitter roasted malts grow slightly stronger.
4 out of 5
NOTE: Balance, balance, balance. And did I mention "balance?" I cannot recall the last time that I had a beer that exhibited such a perfect performance between sweet and bitter. While I was beyond impressed by this aspect, I was still left with the desire of more sweetness. Perhaps a more fresh bottle would grant me that yearning.

Bottled on 06/15/16.
Pours opaque jet black with a half-inch tan head that fades to faint lace on the drink down. The smell is mostly roasted malt with coffee and cocoa. The taste follows with big roast, almost smoky with coffee and subtle cocoa accents. Silky smooth texture and barely any evidence of its 9.1 ABV. Very good.

Pours dark chocolate with a dark tan head. Not much retention but fine spiderweb lacing. Layers of lactose, caramel and milk chocolate on both nose and tongue. Creamy mouth feel. Dessert-like

Bottle from blutt59, thanks for the opportunity! Solid black color with a frothy bubbly tan head that persists. Big sweet milk chocolate with an almost burnt caramel thing going on like creme brulee or something. Light creamed coffee and a touch of warming alcohol. Pretty tasty sweet stout.

Black pour with tight light tan head; clarity under the cap, which faded quickly; nominal lace. Lite roast, milk toast nose. Flavors of milk , toast and chocolate; just a hint of vanilla; toffee and lactose finish. Lite, almost creamy mouthfeel; moderate carbonation. Very good roast, milk/sugar linger.
