The third release in our Seduction Series, based on our most popular cask. Bourbon barrel-aged coffee from Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters and a touch of chicory give this infused version of our imperial milk stout that signature New Orleans flair. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Appearance: A deep mahogany body is crowned by a small, dense and quite persistent tan head. After a few minutes, the head collapses to a scattering of foam on the surface, with a prominent ring about the glass wall. The lacing is very finely-beaded and coats the glass wall in an unbroken sheet. Before a strong light at the narrowest point of the glass, faint amber highlights can be seen.

Aroma: Notes of dark roasted coffee beans vie with spicy alcohol and wood. There is also, as it warms, a pleasant bitter chocolate note and vanilla.

Taste: On tasting, there is a distinct wave of strong and dark roasted cold coffee and bitter chocolate. A bit later in the taste, there is a flush of sweet milk chocolate, wood and spicy alcohol, similar to bourbon. Later in the taste, wood flavors and vanilla present. As the taste draws to a close, char and earthy hops and oak dominate, offering a balanced finish.

Mouth feel: Rich, soft and full, with a very pleasant mouth feel and only slight carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: A wonderful dessert beer, best to be sipped and savored, alone or as a pairing with a rich chocolate cake.

Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce brown glass long-neck bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip.

Pour is black with a wonderful, lasting half finger of creamy deep khaki head. Good lacing, too.
Nose is coffee, vanilla, latte, roasty malt, milk chocolate
Taste follows. Lightly sweet, creamy vanilla,
Coffee, touch of bitter roasted malts balancing. Subtle nutty.
Smooth and creamy.

A: The beer is essentially jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high dark beige head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of coffee beans are present in the nose along with notes of bourbon.
T: The taste has flavors of coffee beans along with notes of chicory and hints of bourbon.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I didn't really get much of the milk stout element from this beer apart from the smoothness of the mouthfeel. It is quite easy to drink considering its strength.

With a bold and robust side, a coffee accented whisky side, but then again having a smooth and silky tone, Lakewood Brewing has their finger firmly on the pulse of what a variety of a Milk Stout should be.

Pouring a luscious espresso black and cast in an onyx-like sheen, the French Quarter Temptress greets the nose with a bold coffee, cocoa, toasty, roasty and a spiced whisky scent. With its first taste, a malty impression of burnt marshmallow, vanilla and bold baker's chocolate overtones are struck once more.

Then as the dark and plush ale stretches across the middle palate, its sweetness develops into a taste of firm roasted walnut, espresso roast, bitter chocolate, vanilla and whisky- all simmered and stewed into a spicy campfire consistency. Trending bitter from coffee highlights and its woodsy hoppy regime, the late palate is redolent with burnt graham cracker and espresso.

Full bodied, charred and spicy throughout, the beer's finish is long, warm and roasty with an after palate of the remnants of grain char, this beer is nice and bolder variation of their regular Temptress Milk Stout, however not necessarily an improvement.

Deep, dark brown-black, fluffy toasted marshmallow head that persists. Little aroma until it warms up a bit, definitely let it sit out for a few, coffee, hazelnut and chocolate. The flavors are all hittin, hazelnut spread with some dark chocolate dipped peanut-butter, coffee comes through nicely, the chicory spice sends it to the big easy. Super smooth and creamy, nice bitterness on the back end, dunk some beignets in it.
