We brew Citra IPA using Citra and Centennial hops to create an over the top citrus flavor and golden-orange color. These American grown hops are the perfect fit for an American style IPA with signature aromas of grapefruit and orange peel. Munich and Montana 2-Row Pale malt complete this medium-bodied IPA for a flavor that we can't get enough of.

At Jeremiah Johnson Brewing Co. we source label, brew fresh, and can in-house for and exceptional beer that could only come from Montana's Golden Triangle.

From a can. Pours a golden yellow with several inches of thick foam. The beer has a lot of sediment and leaves a lot if lacing on the glass. The nose is citrus hops and pine. The flavor is citrus and grapefruit. Medium bodied.

Draft at Hops & Bottles. Clear golden pour with small soapy head. Floral, piney, handsoap aroma. Taste continues, stick mouth coating light bitterness.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left thin rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, caramel and some pine. Sweet orange taste with pine, caramel and toffee.

On tap at Union Tavern in Spokane. Pale gold color with a foamy head. Tastes well balanced with a bitter pine finish. A very drinkable IPA and suitable replacement for the Lagunitas which wasn't available.

Nice slightly hazy IPA. Had it Cody Wyoming. Easy drinking and smooth mouth feel. Light on smell but overall a good IPA.

i thought this was very good, i think the best i have had from these guys so far, super fresh from the can, clean and flavorful, and with an almost citrus added fruitiness to the hops, real serious orange flavor in this, very bright and summery to me, nice during the last vestiges of summer up here in montana. the citra and centennial hops are a unique combination, citra so distinct but sometimes mild in these mixed varietal contexts, and centennial, which is so bold and often piney and woody and bitter, but there is somehow nice balance between them here, and i appreciate the best of both in the aroma and flavor. there is a little bit of yeast character to this, not quite english, and maybe unintentional then, but i think it works to make this a more well rounded beer in the absence of much malt character. its off dry, which usually is a criticism from me in the style, but what little residual sugar is here seems to work to extend and enhance the citra somehow, giving it a chance next to the easily overpowering centennial. its a thoughtful beer if all of this was on purpose. i have been pretty back and forth on these guys so far in limited experience, but this really is very good, a light drinker for a full strength ipa, and a beer that has great carbonation and liveliness on the palate. maybe their best work to date. this was one of the first sixers gone from a very full fridge at our gathering...
