Hazy orange yellow with oodles of foam.

Big clove and banana smell. Yeah, wheat too.

Cloves, banana, wheat with some lemon.

Medium body with lively carbonation.

Excellent example of the style!

Poored a nice 3 finger head that kept a great lace through the whole beer. Color was a cloudy tan. Smell was of banana yeast and german hops. The taste is not over powered by fruit but more of a crisp hefe with a light medium body. Overall a kick ass hefey from a rad brewery.

Appearance - Wow - pours a quick 3 fingers of very active eggshell foam, you can hear it fizzing, very active carb rises through a gorgeous opaque golden beige body, however the head dwindles to a solid collar in a few minutes, with little to no lacing at the end of the session (this is the only negative in an otherwise gorgeous hefe)

Smell - pretty nice nose of wheat and yeast, like fresh baked bread, light banana, very subtle hint of nutmeg and clove

Taste - starts with wheat and yeast and a huge banana nose, quickly joined by mild peach and dried apricot, at the back of the tongue begins mild nutmeg, finishing with mild clove, white pepper and under-ripe banana pith.

Mouthfeel - almost medium, some of the perceived weight coming from complexity of flavor, carb is on the higher side, having tiny fine bubbles reminiscent of champagne that provide just enough scrub to allow a pleasantly spiced dry finish.

Overall - An excellent hefeweizen, wonderful complexity, and a wonderful balance of complex flavors make this one a must try. This particular hefe seems to be influenced by a particularly "devilish" strong belgian ale, as if you took 4 parts excellent hefe, to one part Duvel. Great sessionability at 4.2%. If you see this one, give it a try.

Poured on tap at Kramarczuk's Sausage Company in Minneapolis.

Golden pale body, not that cloudy but with a solid opaque body color. Creamy classic white top presented if a bit tiny, with light elevating streams of carbonation just barely. Real nice looking hefe.

Real clean aroma on the nose. Classic fruity esters but stays away from pungent fruit and stinky sweet banana so much. Has a sense of lager like crisp and light body, with a chewy malt smell and nice hints of small fruit orange to stone peach character.

Excellent palate. Big fruit flavor in the mid palate and almost breakfast warmth of orange. Light bodied but a great almost German pilsner dough quality particularly on the finish. Aftertaste of really nice bread finish and lager like crispness which is quite surprising.

A really neat tasting Hefe with some neat mix of different German style characters. Great solid brew.

Old school hefe, plenty of cloves, band-aids, & green banana peel. Fairly fluffy mouthfeel to it. Drinks great in the heat. Lovely nose that matched the flavors to a tee, plus a little wheattynes

Pours a murky straw color, smells of banana and pineapple. Ditto the taste but a little watery. Something is just kind of tepid here. A great style for summer and this is certainly good but other Hefe's and other Prost's are better.

Draft at West rail Tap & Grill. Weak head, cloudy golden body, normal weisse aroma and taste. Pretty decent approximation of the style, except for the appearance.

Served in a Weißbier glass, the two finger head was contained nicely in the slender glass.
Head retention was great with this beer, lasting for the duration of the glass.
Opaque soft golden orange color once the trub is poured in. Delicate spotty lacing around the edges.

Aroma has all the hallmarks of a traditional weissbier, lemony banana, bread crusts, mild clove.
Nothing really pops though, but at least it fits the profile well.

Taste is a little more on the mild side, banana, lemon, bread crust.
Light body, creamy texture, though it could have a little bit more heft to it.
Overall it's pretty good, not sure how fresh it is, but it was ok.

Prost Weißbier has an outlandishly exuberant head of foam, that literally exploded out of the bottle, so watch out with that. The foam is off-white. Lacing is heavy, at first, but then drops off. The appearance of the beer is yellow-orange (think of Blue Moon) and bubbly, to the hilt. Aroma is of banana, Hubble Bubble gum, cloves, coriander, and white wheat bread. Taste is of those elements, with a peppery spice, kicking right in, but with very little bitterness showing up, which is no surprise. Mouthfeel is low medium, and Prost Weißbier finish on the dry side of the equation.
