This is a very well made beer. I would like a little more malt aroma and flavor but it is otherwise spot on

Orange tinged yellow color. Tasty, malty, a bit of caramel sweetness. Decent.

Canned July 27th 2022.
Pours a clear gold with a good head of foam that shrinks very quickly. Tiny bit of lacing.
I smell hops, some bread and grain, seems to balance out.
The taste is hoppy, grass like, some bread and grain, not bad but the smell was more balanced.
Good mouthfeel, average Oktoberfest.

As what the writing on the can sez: "Oktoberfest-STYLE Lager". There is a touch too much of the hops (for meself anyway) and that is why it is a STYLE of Oktoberfest and not authentic nor traditional. But it is rather tasty, otherwise. Back off the bitter and lean some more towards the malt.

Originally was going to purchase a six pack, but then I saw the variety pack. And said, let’s give it a whirl! A very good and drinkable Märzen! Next time I’m out there for a baseball game, (damn Covid ) I’ll definitely stop by!

L - Looks the part; good burnt amber/near pumpkin color to this; decent head/foam, a little lacing.
S - Uh-oh - nothing really Marzen-like on the nose; don't really smell that toasty-honey malt I expect.
T - Even more "meh" on the palate - this just tastes like a strong-ish Munich Lager more than a Marzen or O'fest bier. Disappointing. None of that bready malt and honey-molasses note that the big players carry off.
F - Good in the mouth; good carbonation, not overly so, but solid.
O - Not the best Prost bier, that's for sure. Hit the Kolsch first, to me that's one of their benchmarks, along with the Dunkel

Poured from a can. Golden to caramel in color with a white head. Smells of malty caramel and some earthy hints. Slightly astringent with a malty backbone.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of roasted malt, toffee, caramel and floral notes. Sweet caramel, toffee and subtle roasty notes with a mild bitterness. Crisp, sharp and smooth.

From a sample 12 pack of cans in KC
L: amber with an amazing domed head that resembled a scoop of Ice cream.
S: bready, toasted grain but muted
T: underwhelming all the players are here, I had a hard time picking out individual flavors. Just subdued and vague with clean finish.
F: light carbonation, smooth easy drinker.
O: I love german beer and had high hopes. This was a let down very blah. Nothing offensive but lacking in taste overall. I may have had an off night. I will update if my impression changes as I work my way through the pack. For reference my 2 favorite marzens are from Paulander and Spaten.
Update: On second try very respectable with good malt profile. One of the better american made marzens .
