Notes:
This bier is delicate and pale with less bitterness than a Pils and less sweetness than a Helles. A subtle fruitiness is the hallmark of this classic style from Köln. Along with Alt, this is one of the last ale holdouts in Germany. (ABV 4.6% 22 IBU'S)

look: 3.25 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.5
Poured from a 12oz bottle with no clear born on date; into a pint glass.
Appearance- looks like apple cider, with no head and tons of bubbles, however, there is some faint floating sediment. Lacing is completely absent.
Smell - lemon and sweet rolls.
Taste - mimics the nose, however the sweetness is a bit more profound and works well against the grain.
Feel - light body, sweet but very drinkable.
Overall- not a big fan of the style, but this has some nice qualities and is surprisingly tasty.

This pours a clear pale gold with plenty of foam.
The smell is of bready malt and quite a bit of fruity notes.
Tastes of bread, grassy hops, and sometimes delicate, sometimes more assertive fruitiness.
Medium body and carbonation.
Excellent Koelsch!

Another hit from Prost, this one comes from Koln...er, Denver. To style.
Light golden pour, clear and clean. Soft bright white foamy head, thick, builds to about 2 fingers. Stays around throughout at about 1/2 finger thick. Nice lacing. Looks great.
It has a sharp grassy hop aroma peppered with light spices. The biscuit and dough malts come through with just a little flutter of white grape, possibly Torrontes.
Flavor leans more toward the malt. Clean malt with a quick sharpness in the middle. Wee bit of sulfur or mineral. Floral. Soft biscuit and green grass. Refreshing.
This is a darn fine beer. Looks great and goes down darn smooth.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pilsner glass.
Pours a 2" bubbly white head that drops slowly with mild lacing. Color is hazy gold with abundant streaming carbonation. Aroma of yeast rolls, grain husks, lemon & citrus. Flavors of bready, yeasty malts with a tart lemony citrus bite. Overall: a well done Kolsch.

64 oz growler served into a marine corps faux-pilsner glass.
A: Pours a two finger wide head of white colour. Nice thickness and decent creaminess. Pretty good (4+ minute) retention. Great even lacing as the head recedes.
Body colour is a typical clear pale copper. Slightly below average vibrance. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.
Sm: Crisp straw and clean barley. Light floral hop character. Hints of light crystal malt. Grainy. Seemingly full-bodied.
No yeast or alcohol is detectable - nor should they be.
A pleasant aroma of mild to moderate strength.
T: Crisp straw. Clean barley. Minimal floral hop character, but it complements the malty build. A bit creamy towards the finish. Decently balanced, but perhaps overhopped based on the bitterness. Not much complexity, but then the style is a simple one. Some subtlety.
Flavour duration, intensity, and depth are average.
Likable but not up there with the greats in the style.
No alcohol or yeast comes through.
Mf: Crisp, smooth, and wet. A bit overcarbonated (even from the growler). Suits the flavour profile decently. Nice body and thickness.
Dr: Really drinkable; it hits style conventions on that point. My buddy and I would have little trouble killing the 64 oz growler. I'd get it again at a better price; $13.00 per 64 oz is too much considering the quality. It's not very traditional - which I'm having some trouble overcoming - but I do like it. A nice introduction to Prost brewing.

Light, hazy yellow body topped with a frothy white head. Delicate aroma of light cereal grain and citrus; wheat and lemon; bread crust. Well-blended mixture of light malt grains infused with a mild lemon-like fruitiness; citrus rind; very subtle bitterness. Medium-heavy body; crisp and dry overall on the palate.
This beer brings on some fine, understated flavors with a dollop of citrus tang and deftly balanced dryness. Although being enjoyed on a mild January afternoon along the Colorado Rock Mountain Front Range, this would be an excellent summertime thirst quencher.
