12oz can produces a dull golden body with a massive foamy off-white head. As a 'summer' IPA, I don't think this is a lagered/cold IPA, just a softer, more drinkable version of a WCIPA? It has some softness to it, floral and pithy at times with a pleasant malt backbone that doesn't carry much heft, some grassy bitterness and some sweet notes of orange are present. Not bad.

really solid stuff here, i like the concept of summer ipa, think it should be done more widely, and although i wish this can was fresher than it is, the beer is still very good. these guys have launched in idaho in a big way, lots of different stuff both in package and draft, neat way to hit the market, i appreciate that. this is light golden and close to clear with a frothy inch of white head on it and nice shine. it smells majorly citrusy with grapefruit and tangerine freshness to me, a little bit of herbal hop bitterness, and a simple malt base thats not toasted at all, not wheaty or dense, and has just a little balancing honey sweetness to it, nice proportions and balance while still being light. the hops are somewhat basic here, as in not wildly interesting or anything, but the flavors are pleasant, light pineapple meets bright citrus, and even with a little fade from this being a few months old, it still pops. navel orange, meyer lemon, and mild floral character, really even somewhat delicate, but its also got nice finishing bitterness so its well rounded, nothing too heavy handed. light malt sweetness through most of it but dry at the end and a fast finishing clean ferment with rushing carbonation. maybe not the most memorable beer these guys make, but the hop profile is right on for summer and this is a highly drinkable ipa, even without being at session level alcohol content, well done.

Smell- Melon, mandarin orange, grapefruit, slightly dank.

12oz can stamped PKGD: 04/27/20 (about 6 weeks old) poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass at fridge temp 6.5% ABV 50 IBU. The beer pours mostly bright golden straw yellow with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a few spots of lacing. The aroma is mild with vague citrus and slight sweetness. The taste is hop forward citrus & pine over a barely there 2-row malt bill. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to thin bodied with adequate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, good. Nice IPA. Minimal malt and no caramel if you're adverse to that.

Completely crushable warm weather brew. The lemon and orange are so abundant in the smell and flavor, pine is a minimal aftertaste.
