12oz can from seavercs (thanks man!). Canned 2/22/17. Served in a Wicked Weed snifter.
Pours a fully opaque soft yellow with about three quarters of a finger of white head. The froth fades to a large, white central island and hearty wreath that leaves sheets of lacing.
Smells of orange juice, grapefruit, bread and a little caramel.
Flavors include abundant orange, lemon, grapefruit, a faint bready and some caramel malt sweetness. There is no alcohol presence whatsoever, rendering this highly drinkable.
Medium soft body with moderate carbonation. Juicy citrus-forward hops pervade the finish.
My first brew from Reuben's shows that these guys can put together a thoroughly crushable IPA. Loral Crush is fantastically easy to knock back.

16oz tallboy can courtesy of my friend T.J., who brought this back from the source. Hop variety stamped on the bottom, along with the canning date (July 5, 2018). Pretty awesome to drink a beer not truly local that's only 10 days old!
Opaque, lemony amber color, with a decent, eggshell-white head. Spotty lace. Looking at this, I'm guessing juicebomb.
Smells like a juicebomb. Big, citrusy, juicy hop aroma. Also some white wine grape notes, peppery spiciness and an unusual herbal note I cannot place.
Juicy citrus flavor up front, with a more bitter, spicy, sharp herbal thing happening about halfway through, giving it balance. Finish is both dry and juicy.
Medium bodied, with a sharp, prickly, dry mouthfeel.
This is way more assertive than I initially expected. Kind of a "Q-Ship," if you know your naval history, in that it kind of fakes you out. Initially, it tastes like a soft, fruity NE style hazy that has had all it's rough hoppy edges smoothed out, then it turns into a considerably more bitter IPA, giving the palate a good "thwack." As someone who's not morally opposed to the former, but has been a fan of the more traditional west coast IPAs for many years, I really dug this. I believe this was my first exposure to the Loral hop, one I'll be on the lookout for in the future. Thanks, T.J!
