The beer pours a dark gold/amber color with a thin offwhite head that fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a sweet pale and light crystal malt scent along with a slight rye aroma thrown in. It's malty with a nice fruitiness to it. The taste is decent. It has a light, pale and crystal malt flavor that is overshadowed by a crisp rye presence. It goes down easy and is balanced nicely with a mild hoppiness. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a pretty good brew. It has good aroma and an interesting flavor; a good drinker.

Appearance: Pours a warm amber with a touch of haze. It's tan head starts well and holds at a small cap.

Smell: The aroma is a good balance of spicy rye and hops, atop a solid backbone of caramelly malt.

Taste: The flavor is dominated by the spicy rye and hops, with the slighty sweet, caramelly malt staying mostly in the background. Finishes dry and bitter, with a subtle nuttiness appearing on the tail end. Very tasty!

Mouthfeel: Medium in body, with smooth, dry finish.

Drinkability: This is a good brew I could drink several of. It's akin to a very good pale ale with some rye thrown in the grain bill.
