pretty good fruited wheat here, much less sweet than so many, but still sweeter than i like personally in the style. the color is gorgeous, rose pink and hazy, looks awesome in the glass, aside from the fact that the head doesnt hang on real long. it smells good too, like authentic fruit, probably pureed and added post fermentation. its easier that way, and you dont lose all the flavor of the berries to yeast eating it away. it does leave the beer sweeter, but i think this is does really well. they are as tart as they are sweet, which is nice, and very very fresh. the wheat base beer is rather light, less wheaty than i usually like, but it lends to crushability, especially out on the patio in warm weather. great summer beer, and my girlfriend loved it. she rarely drinks more than a beer in a sitting, and had two here last night, so thats saying something strong for this one. i could stand a little more carbonation in it, but its refreshing just the same. if you like authentic raspberry flavor, this aint a bad way to get there.

On-tap at Mountain Sun's Vine St Pub.

A: Cloudy herbal tea color with a minimalist white head. Head retention is poor and no lace is left behind.

S: Rather fruity, with a pronounced raw wheat scent.

T: Tart and dry with a yeasty bite. Raspberries are there with a mild dark fruit flavor that adds an herbal tea quality to the mix. Finishes rather clean.

M: Light body feels a bit watery. Carbonation feels about right.

D: Nice session beer, but nothing special. Nice to try, but not one I'll be ordering on my next trip to Vine St.

This poured a yellowish pink color with a decent tan head. The nose had some wheat malts and lots of sugary raspberries. The taste is over powered by raspberry syrup. Needs more of a malt base to balance it out. A light crisp body goes down well. Just too much raspberry flavoring here.

The ratings may be a bit high simply because this was the best beer I had on my CO tour of micros.

The color is a light pink, a smallish head and a nose of raspberries and clouded wheat (obviously).

The taste is definitely a wheat through and through, with the subtle flavor of the fruit in the nose and finish. The mouthfeel is light, as a wheat beer should be, but not to be mistaken with thin.

I pounded about 4 of these, at a rate quicker than I should have!

The beer pours a cloudy pink color with a 1/2" white head that fades to lacing. I love the pink color. Don't be afraid. This means they used real fruit as opposed to that fruit extract garbage. The aroma is good. It has a nice pale wheat scent along with a mild raspberry odor. It's tart and authentic. The taste is outstanding. It has a light wheat taste that is complimented with tart raspberry flavor. It has a smooth, genuine taste that you usually can't get in most commercial fruit brews. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a low bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a very good fruit beer. They don't sellout, so there are going to be people turned off by the color and taste, but this is what you get if you homebrew a fruit beer. The real thing is so much more flavorful.
