Aroma is dark fruit/raisin sweetness and mild notes of nutty and tobacco. The flavor is dark fruit, mild/medium sweetness and a mix of slight tart and malts in the finish.

Presumably a foreign/export stout rather than an American stout as this had some definite English stout vibes going on. A really nice mocha+roast profile with particularly good chocolate malt standing out, some dark fruit and a decent herbal hop kick, and some grainy/toasty/ESB-ish tones. Mouthfeel is a touch on the watery side but bad, pretty well-carbonated, smooth and drinkable. This one surprised me, pretty bold and nice flavors for a low-ish ABV stout, and the English feel is pulled off nicely as well. For a straight-up stout there is definitely a standout mocha flavor here.

I do not normally appropriate for a beer with strong personality outside their territory. This beer, made with honest and a good job, sometimes hesitate to make the first consideration. Good beer style of a very indifferent to me.

Bottle purchased at Nathaniel Square Corner Store in Rochester, NY.
This one pours an oily, thin looking black, with a quarter inch head, and no lacing.
This smells like dark roasted and used coffee grounds.
This one seems just a little meh to me, with a significantly watery finish. The flavor up front is decent, a bit of smoky ash, some earthy coffee, and roasted malt, but it's not enough to compensate for the weak finish.
This is fairly thin bodied, even for the ABV, with a oily and slightly watery mouthfeel. The carbonation level is normal.
Not bad, but ultimately disappointing in the finish. I wish this was a little bit more beefed up.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours pitch black, opaque in the glass with a nice two finger light brown head with good retention and thick lacing. Aroma of chocolate, dark, mildly toasted malt, hints of coffee and lactose. Flavor of semi-sweet toasted malt, dark dried fruit, chocolate and hints of coffee mild milk stout notes. Finishes with light toastiness and a previously hidden grassy bitterness that lingers. Medium bodied with good carbonation. A nice full, balanced stout flavor that leans both towards Baltic porter (the dark fruit) and milk stout. Well balanced and I enjoyed the hops asserting themselves in the finish. I drink a lot of imperial stouts now and am usually left satisfied, but unimpressed with light to moderate ABV stouts. This is an exception, very nice flavor and character. I liked this quite a bit.

Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of light black chocolate notes with some light flora coffee notes. Taste is also a nice mix between some light black chocolate with some light dry coffee notes. Bitterness is kept to a minimum with some light residual sugars. Body is about average with great carbonation. Well done for style even with limited complexity.

Served on-tap at Tørst in Brooklyn, NY
A: Pours a thick opaque dark jet black in color with minimal amounts of gentle visible carbonation along the edges of the glass and some dark cola brown highlights. The beer has a half finger thick creamy dark tan head that slowly reduces to a thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of roasted malts with light aromas of roasted coffee.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of roasted almost burnt malts with light flavors of freshly brewed coffee and bittersweet chocolate. Moderate amounts of bitterness which lingers for quite a while.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Creamy.
O: The alcohol is pretty well hidden in this beer and it is easy to drink. Enjoyable with a wonderful creamy mouthfeel.
