Pours clean dark amber, with a one finger head that leaves slight lacing.

Smells of chestnut, caramel malts. Slight touch of herbal hops.

Taste is somewhat on the sweet side, with a hint of pepper. Chestnut is less present than in the smell, but still there. Kinda earthy as well. Some fruity hops. It gets nicely nutty as it warms.

Body is light and smooth, mild, prickly carbonation.

Pretty nice -- I'm usually not very fond of lagers, but this one is pretty interesting and well-balanced.

From a can, from shop in Paris.

Nice head level, deep reddish amber colour.

Contains chesnut flour, apparently.

Aroma is nice, sophisticated, different, yet still quite subtle and balanced.

Taste is also quite unique. Lots of different elements. Definitely can taste the chesnut, which works really well. Crisp initially, then the complex hoppy chesnuttiness slowly takes over.

I will give it a good score because it's unique and different. And very well balanced. And the different taste elements really give it identity. Personally I prefer stronger beers, though as a complex light and crisp offering, this is great.

I'm giving this one a good rating, it's French (Corsican actually!) And for a Euro lager pretty damn good. I'd rather have this than Heineken or Kronenbourg, this beer deserve more recognition. On a side note: do visit the beautiful island that is Corsica, cheers!

Aroma exposes the chestnut ingredients, color is also dark golden, and lots of sticky lacework on the glass. Flavor has elements of toffee and caramel, but also is dry and mildly bitter. Nice beer and definitely different.

Giving a second try.
Amber color with a thick head with medium retention and leaving some laces.
Nice sweet aroma of biscuit malt, maybe nuts, lots of honey and mild grassy hops.
Flavor with notes of grassy hops, minerals, honey, a bit of toasted malts and finishing with chestnuts. Dry and bitter aftertaste with herbal and chestnut predominating.
Light body with good carbonation.
It does not bring the traditional nutty malt sweetness that for some reason we expect before popping up the bottle, probably given it is much more common. It shows chestnut flavors that are rather bitter and earthy than sweet. Interesting beer in that sense, though it is somewhat subtle, don’t expect any big flavors.

Not spectacular. We don't feel the taste of chesnut, or with a lot of imagination.

Decent beer which i bought in a supermarket when i was in the south of France couple months ago. Light ambercolor and decent carbo. Not a spectacular beer but drinkable.
