Lasting beige head that leaves lace only on the side I drink from (oddly). Deep brown but light passes through the center of the glass.

Good combination of deeply toasted malts and fresh bittering hop. Some coffee notes.

Starts smoothly like a porter but the turn darker and far more burnt. The bitterness comes from this and the hop, but the aftertaste is mainly a good dose of black patent malt. The body is fuller than expected but the elevated carbonation provides balance.
