This place had bottles of BCBCS and BCBBW available so I stopped in. Big Buffalo Bills fan place, apparently, as it was jammed for the game. I was still able to find a table to myself and enjoy a bottle of bourbon county. Didn't have any food but the beer list looked decent overall.

Stopped in here before going to a show at Lincoln Hall this past Saturday night ( right next door). We showed up during the final 4 yet still were able to grab a table in the bustling bar.

The tap list was fantastic and reasonably priced. A lot of Chicagoland breweries represented - FFF Alpha King and Artic Panzer Wolf, Off Color Scurry (on Nitro), Temperance Gatecrasher , Lake Effect Snow, Half Acre Pony. I enjoyed a 2012 Ten Fidy which was so smooth! They also had a decent amount of bombers -- saw a couple guys splitting a Darkness bottle.

We also ate dinner which was really good. I had a California Chicken Club sandwich, fresh avocado, and the bacon was so tasty. Great fries.

The service was on point despite how busy the bar was.

Can't wait to head back here.

Located just north of a popular stretch of the 2200 block of Lincoln Avenue near DePaul University, this is an excellent bar for those looking for a quieter venue with excellent craft beers. Bar Manager Benn Hamm selects a wide variety of crafts you don't usually see for Lincoln Station's 21 taps.

For instance on a recent visit we had to choose between several Christmas ales from Three Floyds, Great Lakes, and Goose Island. Also many smaller midwest breweries were on tap such as O'so (Plover, WI), BuckleDown (Lyons, IL), Hinterland (Green Bay, WI), Lake Effect (Portage Park, IL), ThreeSheeps (Sheboygan, WI), Great Divide (Denver), Bell's (Comstock, MI) and Half Acre (Ravenswood, Chicago).

This is an excellent stop amidst a very popular entertainment neighborhood if you want to get away from the rude and boisterous masses and enjoy good food and beers.

We stopped through here not too long ago on the CTA pub crawl, and were pleasantly surprised considering the area. This stretch of Lincoln is filled with lame college bars and roving bands of bingeing weekend amateurs. During the day Lincoln Station seemed to be a welcome respite from these crowds though.

Nowadays they are rotating some interesting specialty drafts from Perennial, FFF, Hinterland, Greenbush, and Wild Onion. They list kegs on deck to be tapped also. Prices seem especially reasonable here considering they pour full pints mostly, unlike many "beer bars" these days... 8 oz. pours for $9+ elsewhere? No thanks...

The atmosphere was fairly relaxed, though with the day crowd it took awhile to get a beer. Bartender didn't seem to be well versed in the beer, but later there was a manager was behind the bar who was. The bar was in the front on the left, flanked by tables in the window and along the wall. Toward the back there were a few booths, exposed brick, and wacky art deco murals from the tavern's former life.

Overall an unexpected beer selection here, with fair pint prices to boot. Not sure i'd venture in on friday or saturday nights, but definitely any other time.
