Had at the new Armonk DeCicco's in a 14oz tulip glass.
This was billed as an experimental batch with some long # that began with a 4.... However I did not poach the beer list to get it exact at this new establishment.
Nice amber orange color with a solid 2 finger head that held up at 1 finger through the drink.
Smell was hard to discern at the bar but nice light malts and floral hops were there.
Taste was beautiful with a light not dominant malt and very well balanced hop character that kind of sneaks up on you in a very subtle way. A pale ale that finishes as a full hopped IPA, nice! Very approachable and kind of an IPA with training wheels in a good way.
Feel was sublime. Captain Lawrence look out.

Growler filled up at DeCicco's, Ardsley, NY location. Rushing Duck tasting this afternoon at the store. Always nice to taste some new beers and get to talk to the brewer to boot. Do we live in a geat beer culture or what?
Pours hazed lighter almond amber, tight, tiny bubble off white head. Leaves quality lookin strands of lacing.
Citrus infused, hop forward nose.
Tasty and fresh tasting Pale, hops bright and again on the citric side.
Nice offering from a promising new brewery, just on the other side of the river. Looking forward to trying more.

This is just what I'm looking for in a pale ale. Big, clean American hops: sharp citrus paired with spicy herbal rind. There's a hit of toasty malt in the background and the body's light enough to count as an easy drinker. I want more.

A lovely clear pale ale with a big, firm, head and nice amounts of clingy lace. Smell has a large amount of sweet bakery bread and piney hops. Nice fruitiness with caramel malt. Taste is so well balanced. Malt backbone is a good platform for the well done hops. Bread and toasted grains flow through. Lots of pine and hop oil for a dry oily finish that hangs and then evaporates. A biit of caramel lingering. Feel is smooth and lightly chewey. Carbonation is just right for sessioning. Dry quenchhing character makes this a highly drinkable brew. A very good and solid brew and I am looking forward to trying the other offerings from this new in state brewery.

On tap at O'Slattery's Pub in Delmar, NY.
This pours a golden yellow color, with a small head and lots of sticky lacing.
Smells pretty floral, with some light grapefruit, and pine.
This is exceedingly floral, with a soft and pleasant bitterness, and just a small hint of fruity sweetness. It's pretty simple but very tasty.
This is pretty light bodied, with a crisp finish.
Simple and super drinkable. Can't ask for much more.

Poured on tap at the brewery.
Pours a hazy amber color with a half-finger of khaki head. The head was gone very quickly, leaving very little in the way of lacing.
The aroma was surprisingly dank and pungent. Loads of grapefruit, pine, and orange zest. Has a faint malt character on the back end.
The taste follows the nose. Pine, grapefruit, and some peppery spice, followed by a bready malt finish.
The feel is medium bodied with lower carbonation. Crisp, and highly drinkable.
Overall, a very good pale ale that drinks more like an IPA. There's nothing that truly stands out about it, but it's a well done hoppy beer.

On-tap at Terrapin, Rhinebeck, NY
A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that died down but never completely faded away, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass and some lacing down the sides.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose—orange and grapefruit stand out in particular.
T: The taste has juicy flavors of orange citrus hops and a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is nice and "juicy" but isn't overly bitter.
Serving type: on-tap
