Bar area is enjoyable- great selection on tap at decent prices. Service has been solid and food is tasty bar fair. Bottle shop section has a cool variety, but prices are on the high end as is typical for this sort of establishment.

This is a clean and comfortable place. I stopped in looking for beer to go. I found a decent six pack selection, a very good singles selection, a good number of bombers, very few imports. Everything was clearly priced, and those prices made my jaw drop. Even for PA, these prices were ridiculously high. Staff was friendly and overall a good place to shop if you are looking for singles, and willing to pay 40-50% more than anywhere else. If not, give it a miss.

Best place to drink beer in York. Beer Mongers has a well curated tap list (18), which to me is just about the perfect about of taps, allowing for a faster rotation of beers while at the same time ensuring the quality of each keg. They always have a couple Tired Hands beers on tap, the only bar or taproom in York to have those incredible offerings. Great prices as well on draft selections. I'd probably stay clear of the bottle shop, however. The mark up there is just a bit too much for me, unless you're grabbing a cheap 6er to go. Keep up the great work BM!

There are very few places that offer the sort of selection that is offered by Beer Mongers in the Dallastown area (Golden Crust, Holy Hound Taproom). I'm a regular at this place and it's for a great reason. Over 400 different bottles to choose from that you can take to go or enjoy on the bar side. Bottles are $1 off between 11AM-7PM. Bottle prices are a tad bit high but that's what we get for our archaic alcohol laws here in PA. If you want cheap bottles, drive to MD. Beer Mongers is home to 18 rotating taps. The owner is not a hop head (more into Belgians) but he tries not to let that affect his selection for the customers. Great variety of local brews and international brews.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the beers on tap and most of the beers in the cooler. The owner is a great guy to talk beer with and is well traveled in his beer knowledge. The food is some of the best you will get out of a beer bar. If you are lucky enough to catch one of their Saturday specials, you wont be disappointed. Taco Thursday is also a must. Daily food menu is small but that allows them to crank out decent items. No complaints here.

My favorite thing about Beer Mongers is that it is very clean, smoke free, safe and the staff is focused on the customers experience and has no problem cutting someone off that is hampering another patrons experience. If you're in the area, give it a try!

Visited 6/21/14 to pick up a mixed 6-pack.
Great selection (400+) of bottle beer in the coolers. Mix n match a 4- or 6-pack. A dollar off per bottle if you get there before 7:00 - otherwise expect to pay $4-7 each. But hey - it's cheaper than buying a case of something and then finding out you don't like it!
Bar side has about 15 craft beers on tap; pool table. Not much personality - I think the building might have been a convenience store in a former life....

A decent location that has 20-30 craft beers on tap that are rotated frequently. Massive bottle selection, but the bottle prices are a bit high. The draft prices are far more reasonable. Food is decent, better than must pub-grub, but it's certainly not a brew-pub. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. It's actually a favorite of mine, because it's right down the corner and the selection is hard to beat.

Nice bottle and draft selection. Staff was friendly but not as knowledgeable as they should have been. Owner has been known to do some shady stuff such as selling Doom prematurely and selling KBS for $15 a bottle. The prices, especially on the bottle side are just absurdly high. Not my favorite spot to frequent but one that does have redeeming features.
