The only "decent" place in the Village to catch a sporting event. They have several large TV's and if the BA finds himself stranded on the Island on a Sunday, I suggest you head here to watch the game. The food is standard pub, the beer selection borders more on the macro, but some micros can be had. It does indeed have the feeling of being in a barn, but it is quite cosy.

Stopped while in Nantucket, having found the listing on Beer Advocate. Atmosphere was cool with many items (signs, adverts) that seemed to be authentic from Nantucket history. Service was friendly and helpful, but the beer selection wasn't that great. They only had a few craft beers on draft and in bottle. I had a Long Trail Ale draft and my wife reluctantly settled on a Blue Moon draft. The place seems to be just a general bar/restaurant that changes into a dance club after 10 pm. I didn't try the food, but I would consider going back when the place is in restaurant/pub mode and not dance club mode. I guess that's to be expected on a Saturday night during tourist season.

Stopped in for a few drinks on my most recent visit. Pretty large bar area with a bunch of tables for dining. Couple of tv's in the bar. There's a pool table in the open area, which gets packed on the weekends--The DJ was setting up, but i left before he starting spinning. The atmosphere, on the weekends, is up beat and lively. It's usually packed.

Not a very impressive selection. On tap included Whale's Tale, Stella, Sam Summer and Lager. Bottles of Sierra. The rest of the selection was of macro's--miller and bud.

The waitstaff was pleasent and the mussels were very good. Would go back here again. Most of the places on the island are exactly like this one in regards to beer selection, but this isn't a bad place to hang out and have a Whale's Tale on tap.
