Hazy yellowish orange color. Poured from a draught into a pint glass. Smells juicy with mango and grapefruit pith - there is a slight lingering dankness underlying. Taste follows through with the nose. Upfront is juicy which leads way to a bitterness in the middle of the palette and meshes together into a semi-sweet aftertaste. Medium body to the beer with a nice carbonation that coats the mouth and pushes the flavors across the palette.

I am not a fan of the yeast/hop pair-up here. The yeast gives this IPA a very bready or "lager-y" taste. I get a sharp metallic taste on the finish. This combined with the high value of bittering hops is off-putting on my palate. I can handle my IBUs, but the astringent bitterness of the recipe as a whole is a failure.

Hops are straight grapefruit pith with no other character. Very strange because I absolutely loved what Bolero Snort did with their Bullazed IIPA.

Four pack copped from Bottle King in Livingston. Pours a copper, auburn hue with minimal frothing. Pungent aroma replete with hints grapefruit and citrus. Great flavor profile. Good stuff.

Pours an opaque gold. A small white head. Little to no lacing. Aroma is fresh -piney/ earthy/citrusy all in one. Taste is more piney/earthy. Dry and a bittering aftertaste which some may like or dislike depending on your preference. Good for one. 2 in a row may be a bit much but could happily one back to another.

Traded for this a while ago, though I"m not sure when since there's no date on the bottom of the can. Haven't had a whole lot from Bolero Snort and even after enjoying this beer, I'm not sure what to make of them. This was perfectly fine and nicely crafted but there wasn't any particular aspect about this that was memorable, or would make me want to choose them again over the myriad of other choices out there!

Not a bad pour to this as the beer had a dark apricot hue with a nice, long-lasting head on top of it. Not a lot of lacing to be seen as there were just a few thin rings that seeped down as I worked my way through this. The muted aroma was full of stone fruit, bread, and hints of feet-like funk with lemon zest, light dankness, and pine that emerged more as this warmed up. Mildly juicy, there was some citrus in the mix to keep this sharp but in the end, this was relatively mild and easygoing. Not a lot of carbonation and mild slickness contributed to this feel that softly went away once the liquid went down.

The alcohol was here and could be felt once I finished this off but never did I taste it during my session. If you want a basic IPA, this would fit the bill but I had slightly higher hopes for this. A decent effort that served as a textbook example but nothing more...
