Matte black with an overly-massive, rocky, dark-tan head. Solid retention gives way to super thick lacing.
Smelled like a coffee milk stout when I first cracked it. Roasted malts, cherry, peanut, chocolate and toffee all eventually made appearances.
Tastes like a coffee-chocolate milkshake. There’s some roasted malt in there, too, with a great honey addition. Maybe some almond? Tasty stuff.
Thick, creamy feel with modest carbonation.
This is an excellent dessert beer. Sweet, but very quaffable. Delicious.

First taste was not sure. However, just had a 12/2017 bottle and WOW. Excellent, very drinkable and obviously aged correctly. Sat on a shelf since I bought it with zero expectations. Smooth, sweet and coffee not over powering which is usually the case. Slightly on the light-bodied side, thought it could benefit from being more like an oatmeal stout but I would buy and drink again and will look for anything from Triple C

22 oz bottle with wax coating. It has a bourbon, chocolate and slight coffee smell. Beautiful tasting beer, that comes across sweet (chocolate, vanilla) with some warming from the bourbon and a nice oakey feel. It has a fairly light mouth feel compared to other BBA feels and goes down very smooth. The sweetness lingered in my mouth a long. Overall, a near perfect BBA porter. For those that love BBA beers that aren't too heavy or overwhelming it's hard to do better than this. In my opinion, Triple C's best offering.

22 oz waxed bottle. Dark brown/black colored body, small tan head with nice retention and lacing. Aromas of bourbon, molasses, wood, and coffee. Up-front on the taste is coffee and bourbon, followed by a sweetness probably from the honey though it is not a distinct honey taste. Pretty good.
