Pours jet black wich is out of the ordinary for any find of porter,a billowing beige head atop.Wow coffee grownds jump out at ya in the nose along with bitter chocolate, not much sweetness detected.Dry with alot of coffee on the palate, the oats do make for a creamy smooth feel.A bit of char, roast, and just a hint of molasses round out the rest of the palate.I like the coffee and char,it'sAmerican style with it's char and roast, the alcohol sweetness only plays a minor roll as it warms.Well done.

22oz bottle poured into a snifter. Pours a dark black color with tan colored head. The sweet honey and coffee come out predominately in the nose, smells great. The taste like the aroma is smooth and roasty with some sweetness coming in from the honey and finishing in with some roasted coffee flavors.

It looks exactly how I'd expect a coffee porter to look. Jet black with a khaki mocha head. The head slowly goes away. Smells of vanilla, chocolate, and coffee are dominant. The taste is similar. It is sweet and smooth but well balanced. The mouth is creamy and the alcohol is almost unnoticeable. Excellent beer.

22oz bottle into a couple of snifters. Thanks go to my buddy Barscream for sharing this one with me. Pours black with a rich mocha head. This stays robust and frothy, leaving swathes of thick lace behind. The aroma is very strong with roasted coffee character, backed by notes of sweet cocoa and some ripe citrus flavor. Coffee pretty much dominates this. The taste is similar, with that coffee in particular really emerging as this warms up, finishing this with a dry roastiness. Chocolate and a touch of caramel add some balancing sweetness, while some light green citric hops add a bit of bitter pop to this. The mouthfeel is fuller bodied with a softer feeling yet still firm creaminess to the carbonation. That 10% ABV is nicely hid. I didn’t think this was bad at all. It just took a while to get going and the complexity could have been a little better once you get past all of the coffee. Hopefully this one will continue to get tweaked, as it’s on its way to being a solid beer.

Called Up All Night for a reason the coffee is delicious and truly makes a mark. The flavor, towards mid palate, gravitates towards dessert quality chocolate, caramel and toffee. There's touches of the barrel, with a bit of bourbon, but the roasted coffee returns to finish. This drinks entirely too thin but it hardly detracts from a great beer.

Snifter at Triple C. Pretty dark nearly black pour, nice frothy light tan head. Laced a tad.

Aroma, yep that is coffee. A little malt and dark chocolate.

Taste, definetely coffee forward. It's a tad acrid. There is a little roast malt, but it is kind of overpowered. Cocoa and coffee finish.

About medium bodied. Coats well enough. Not quite creamy. Faint warming from the abv. Has potential, can be improved I believe. Needs a little something additional to the coffee. Worth trying though.

Pretty much opaque, even when held in front of a direct light source. Aroma is almost exclusively freshly ground espresso beans with a hint of chocolate. Flavor is predominately bitter chocolate and, you guessed it, coffee. Struggled to taste the purported honey flavor. Noticeable impression of spiciness/warmth/alcohol presence on the back end into the finish, bordering on being overbearing. Patent bitterness lingering in the aftertaste. Medium-full bodied with a creamy thickness very appropriate for American Porter/Stout styles. Wouldn't mind dialing the honey up a notch.

A: The beer is essentially jet black in color—only traces of dark red are visible near the edges o the glass. It poured with a short off white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of honey are present in the nose along with hints of coffee.
T: The taste has moderately strong flavors of honey along with hints of coffee.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a little too much honey for my liking but manages to hide any traces of alcohol from the taste.
