Crystal clear straw color. Very nice. Nearly no head (rim bubbles). Some spots for lace.

Interesting grapefruit smell (probably from the hop). Pale malted grain in the background.

Spicier than most pilsners. Starts with a solid pale malt base. More rich than most but it has a good level of carbonation. Moderate aftertaste blending the two main elements.

Overall, rather nondescript for the style, but still easy to drink.

This "Bohemian" Pilsner was on the menu in their Belgian Section... When I asked why, the bartender said she thought it was a Belgian Type of beer. It wassn't. It was described as a typical Pilsner.

Came with a thin finger of head that faded quickly. The beer was a slightly cloudy golden color. Clarity was a bit off.

Aroma was a bit sweet and also a bit of spicy hops and grass..

The flaovr was way too sweet. There were some nice light malt flavors and a bit of hop bitterness. But I really was taken by how sweet it was for a pilsner.

Mouth feel was fine and carbonation was one.

I didn't find it too drinkable to be honest.

No a good pilsner in my opinion.

day two at NERAX 2009. from the lowell beer works.

golden, deep straw color. crystal clear. creamy, bubbly head, fades to wispy, creamy layer. lacing doesn't stick.

fragrant noble hop aroma, with hint of sulfur. toasted malt. grassy hay note, with very faint esters and phenols. metallic whiff.

flavor is fruity but not overly estery. it's otherwise quite clean. melds into more of a toasty malt note. grassy hay-like noble hops have a spicy character, finishing grassy again with hint of nuttiness.

thin but smooth at first, then some astringency. nice mild carbonation.

interesting - a pilsner on cask!
