Went there early on a friday night...Caught a Sox playoff game...so the atmosphere was good (even though I hate the sox with a passion)
They had maybe 15 beers on tap...the selection was decent. The service was quick, friendly, and had slightly above average knowledge...
The food was excellent...I forgot what I had but remember it was damn good
Place was clean and new looking...I enjoyed it and would suggest this as a must stop in boston. One of the best brewpubs I have visited in overall appeal (Food, Beer Quality, AND Beer Selection)

A decent place to eat and drink for a franchised brewpub. My first disappointment was when choosing the beers for my flight of four, they were out of two of the beers I wanted to try. No big deal, though, since their selection was rather extensive. My second was when I was told that they had nothing on cask that month (the server didn't know for what reason).

Visited here on Sunday and this is in line with the other Beer Works locations that I have been to. Prices are a bit higher than in Hingham, which is to be expected. I always really enjoy the food at Beer Works. The menu has plenty of varieties of sandwiches, burgers, and entrees. their Rajun Cajun and veggie burger are two staples that I usually get. The beer is usually more hit than miss and there seems to be a good fifteen ales on tap. The location is open and airy for the area. Vibe is modern microbrewery. The restaurant was not overly busy when we dined, so service was attentive and timely. Bottom line with Beer Works is that it is a good place to stop for a beer and food before an event at the garden.

Canal Street BBW has a very comfortable vibe, with pleasing, industrial decor. Service is good-to-very good. But I don't understand why all Beer Works locations insist on having the servers explain their "team service" concept. Like you're going to freak out if the person who delivers your food is different from the one who took your order. Don't most places work that way? Does it really require an explanation ahead of time? As long as I can find someone if I need ketchup or silverware, we're good. Aside from that, the service is fine.
The food for me is on the high end of pub fare. Good burgers, sandwiches and sides. Overall a pretty safe bet
