The next on their 'pickin' series. Flavor is moderate mango, but that great Berliner malty backbone. Really works well together. Heist seems to know what their doing.

Appearance: Pours cloudy, with a honeyed goldenstraw hue; the head is rather limited but leaves splashy lacing

Smell: Tart wheat tones co-mingle with mango juice

Taste: Juicy mango forward, with the tart wheat aspect building, through the middle; sour and juicy finish

Mouthfeel: Light body with moderate carbonation

Overall: My first of the Pickin' series and I look forward to trying others - like the way Heist has combined bursting fruit flavors with the tart Berliner

A: Pours a super murky medium to dark golden mango in color (orange-ish yellow) with light to moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + bright orange + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy foamy white head that reduces to a small to medium sized patch of very thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Strong aromas of extremely ripe mango over a just shy of moderate aromas of moderately sour wheat malts, slight lemon citrus, and light to moderate amounts of brininess.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of moderately sour wheat malts with minimal amounts of sweetness. There are light to moderate flavors of lemon citrus and a hint of brininess. Moderate flavors of slightly sweet extremely ripe/juicy mango. No perceptible hop presence and no bitterness. Light amounts of lingering brininess + and slightly tart, slightly sweet mango.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of acidic prickliness.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. A really pleasant base kettle sour with a ton of fruit - the sourness of the base beer and the tartness + sweetness of the mango pair very well. Enjoyable and refreshing.
