Poured from the growler filled at the brewery in Medford. Very dark mahogany brown with a handsome big off-white head with every pour. This has a nice fine-grained sudsy mouthfeel. Some grainy dark caramel aromas.

Lots of roasted malt. A slight sweet note but a dry finish. A hint of the burnt malt sourness, but not unpleasant. Distinct bitterness but not dominating. Brewers call it 78 IBUs with Cascade, Centennial, and Warrior hops. Slight mineral flavor, even a touch of what reminds me of dark malt extract. Dark, yet friendly, with a long complex aftertaste.
