1 PINT can
Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass
This beer pours a turbid, orangish yellow color. It is topped with an inch of beige head that leaves spotty lacing.
The smell is a citrus medley. Grapefruit stands out to me.
The taste is just like the smell. I get loads of citrus with grapefruit slightly dominating the flavor.
Medium bodied with plenty of carbonation
Given the mediocre score I was expecting less than was delivered. This is a refreshing and tasty NEIPA. I would regular purchase this beer if that were an option.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours very hazy deep golden amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, gooseberry, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, gooseberry, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, gooseberry, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.1%. Overall this is a fantastic NEIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Spot on soft feel. Amazing Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy profile as expected. Extremely juicy and slightly dank hops; perfect wheat/oat/malt balance, mild lingering sweetness and increasing dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. They really nailed this for their first attempt at the style.

This is a good attempt at a NEIPA, still does not compare to the awesomeness or originality of M43. This one fell short for me in getting the full fives because of the lack of originality and it just tasting like a less potent version of 98 problems.

Four-pack of 16oz cans purchased near brewery. This isn't a bad NEIPA, but it's no match for others I've had (either in cans or draft). M43 is almost a nuts-on recipe clone of Heady Topper, and it is delicious. This is not that.
I think others mentioned it's like a lesser 98 Problems tastewise. I'd agree. It's more grapefruit than hops heavy, and reminds me of Perrin's Grapefruit IPA, which I don't like. It's like a faux shandy. The mouthfeel is lighter than other NEIPAs, as well. If I make it to the brewery soon and try it on draft, I'll update this if it's any better. As it stands, in the can, M43 is the one to beat in Michigan.

A: pale amber orange in color, white head, and a good amount of haze, but you could see the yeast poor out and haze the rest of the brew.
S: very light pine and citrus. With some straw aroma as well.
T: light grapefruit, with a touch of lemon. Malty, with a hint of booze.
M: medium in feel with lower carbonation.
O: it's a bit of a miss for me. Seems a bit hasty.
