By far one of the most overrated beers in Michigan. I hear people rave about this all the time, and still can't get over how unnatural the grapefruit flavor is. In addition, there's almost no body or substance to the beer; it just tastes like alcoholic grapefruit concentrate with a ton of sugar stirred in.

If you gave it to me, I would drink it. But I wouldn't buy it again. I have to contrast this with Grapefruit Sculpin from Ballast Point, which is probably my favorite grapefruit IPA. This one is bitter but without the juicy flavor of grapefruit. It also has no hoppiness at all. It tastes more like a lager or maybe even pilsner with added bitterness.

12 oz can. Pours very hazy orange yellow with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is wheat malts and grapefruit.

The flavor is wheat malts and sweet grapefruit juice with a slight bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, lots of grapefruit but not much hops. Just enough bitterness to counter the sweetness.

Gold and lightly hazy in complexion. There's a fingernail of tan on top. I smell a muddled citrus aroma. I taste overripe grapefruit and in general it is overly sweet. The mouth is light and a touch watery.
