500 ml Bottle
Bottled Conditioned
This fuckn' bottle exploded big time, never had anything like this happen to me before. Shit was just shooting out under pressure, something like from the Three Stooges.
There was about half a tulip pour. Nasty tan color, millions of floaties around. This will be the last time I buy anything from Parardox again.

Appearance: Pours out cloudy and amber colored; the one finger head fizzes away loke a soda and disappears in about 10 seconds; just a few spots of lacing linger
Smell: For me, the strawberry is more pronounced than the basil but both are apparent; my sense is that there is more rhubarb than anything else
Taste: Rhubarb tones forward with the herbal basil tones developing; vinous and oaky, through the middle; with the Brett taking a stab at drying out the finish, though the sweeter fruit tones linger
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body and flat
Overall: An interesting idea, and with more lacto and carbonation, they could have pulled it off

A: The beer is hazy amber yellow in color. It poured with a narrow collar of white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of strawberries and basil are present in the nose.
T: The taste is dominated by flavors of basil and has hints of strawberries and a bit of sourness. Hints of oak from the wine barrel aging are also noticeable.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has an interesting mix of ingredients. It might pair well with Italian food.

On tap into a 8 oz tulip. Pours a well carbonated golden color with a fingernail head that recedes quickly without leaving lacing. Nose of strong basil with underlying strawberry sweetness. Taste is basil forward with notes of grass, a touch of strawberry, and an unexpected hit of floral hops at the end. Medium carbonation and light body.
Very basil forward. Basil is in the title but it's still the the herb forward beer I've had since the death by rosemary pale ale I didn't finish. Basil is strongest in the aroma but the hops and sweetness make it a smooth drinker. Very unique and different beer.
