Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a light, nutty brown color with a filmy, white surface coating of head. Light nose of roasted nut, both sweet and rich. Flavors of muddled sweetness, with mild chocolate highlights and a roasty backbone. Slight bitter hop profile at the end for a clean finish. The aftertaste is semisweet chocolate and hazelnut. Not a bad beer at all.

Delivered fresh 2 weeks ago from the brewery.

Obtained from my wifes uncle David who lives in Bangor and thought this would be right up my alley. Thanks David, I appreciate it!!

Pours a beautiful red amber color with a massive off white-head. The color when held up to the light shows off it's deep red appearance. Filtered definitely, no fines or settlable solids to speak of. Thick lacing is left behind along with a soapy layer of suds, nice...

The nose is mild but a clear aroma of dark chocolate and citrus fruit comes up close and personal followed by some earthy notes. I'm impressed with the hop aroma in such a low abv beer, nicely done.

The flavor is roasty with bitter chocolate and pink grapefruit. Caramel malt sweetness adds to the balancing act keeping this tastey and highly drinkable. The smoke is barely detectable but a plessure to notice. I'm really digging this...

The body is light and silky smooth with very little carbonation. Easy to suck down one glass after another. Finishes semi-dry.

Overall I really like this and at 4.9% brings me down memory lane when I power drank session beers. Sometimes you want to just put them down without the headache of a hangover the following day. The difference here though is this is tastey. A good looking beer and a pleasure to have. I think I may need to sample a few more beers from Geaghan Bros and definitely get a few more growlers of the Brown. Thumbs up!

Great Brown. Definitely my favorite Geaghan beer so far.
