Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a slightly hazed orange-gold color with a thin, filmy, white coating. Nose of subtle hops and citrus highlights, both blended and light. Flavors of strong, bitter and resiny hops with a huge grapefruit highlight. Tangy and bitter aftertaste, with a clean, peppery finish. Tasty.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Darker amber color with a thin white head and a lot of carbonation.

Smell: Strong citrus and mild pine notes.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Rough medium bodied. Bitter hops and pine notes with a subtle citrus sweetness.

Overall: Good brew, I would have this one again.

Can into nonic pint glass, the appearance was a semi-burnt orange to bronzed amber color with a good finger's and a half worth of off white foamy head steadily keeping a fairly rocky sort of top to it. Nice looking rings of lace wound around the glass fairly nice.
The aroma had a nice blend of earthy malts to resinous hop qualities invading some semi-sweet to bitter grapefruit pulp and rind. Smooth caramel malt in the backbone.
The flavor took all of those previously mentioned aromas to blend and pull in a slight tobacco-like leafy dry sweetness with that slight bitter edge coming in for balance. Light malty to bitter tobacco and earthiness in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied with a fairly huge dryness about it. It's somewhat sessionable and kept the carbonation on point. ABV felt good. Moderate tobacco-like dry and sweet sort of finish.
Overall, it's a drier sort of APA but pretty good. I could probably have again if I saw it.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a high sided snifter glass.

A little darker amber than I am used to in a pale ale.

Aroma is of dank citrusy hops, smells excellent.

Nice hoppy taste, for a 6% abv the body is very thin with not much malt presence.

Draft from Fisherman's Galley in Winter Harbor, ME
Pours a clear medium light amber with big white head and textbook lacing, smells peppery with mildly dank hops and nice malty sweetness, taste is bready malty sweetness balanced by a peppery pine bitterness that lingers, feel is medium bodied with spicy carbonation. A peppery sweet pale I could drink for days.

One of the better Pale Ales I've had. Had it from a bottle I picked up at a great craft beer store while in Portland, ME. Poured a light copper color with a decent white head. Big piney aroma hits right off the bat. The taste is abundantly hoppy, more like an IPA than a Pale. Big citrus, grapefruit, pine resin taste with a solid malt backing that gives it a smooth character and nice complexity. But it's the hops that are center stage here, providing a solid bitter bite and pleasing citrus aftertaste. A terrific beer, especially if you're a fan of hoppy brews.

Pint on tap at Helen's in Machias, Maine.

Appearance: Pours a mostly clear gold/amber with a short white crown of foam. Carbonation present. Some lacing left behind.

Aroma: Floral hops with some malt.

Taste: Tasty pale ale! Nice mix of floral, grassy hops and caramel malt backbone.

Mouthfeel: On the low side of medium depth. Sessionable.

Overall: Very nice pale ale from the Queen City. Had been looking forward to trying something from this brewery and they did not disappoint.
