Poured a cloudy, translucent golden body with a thin cap of white head. Overall impression of appearance is of a good saison, with an excellent body but too little head. Scents of fruit upfront, lemon and lemon zest with notes of tangerine. Bubblegum aromas at medium-high levels giving an interesting twist, alongside medium-light, spicy, peppery phenols. A light sourness and wild aroma pervades throughout. Overall impression of aroma is of a fine saison, quite pleasing and true to form with a good, rustic aroma. Flavor begins fruity yet dry, with notes of lemon and lemon zest, a nice presence of peppery phenols at medium-light levels. Middle continues these flavors and adds undercurrents of bubblegum and allspice. Finish is dry with the same flavors carrying over, though peppery notes, lemon zest and allspice are most pronounced. Aftertaste is dry with notes of pepper and allspice. Overall impression of flavor is of a very nice, balanced saison, one that showcases fruit and spice at great levels and shows the core of the style in wonderful fashion. Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with effervescent carbonation and a drying feel. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a fantastic saison. Overall this is a very nice saison. True to form in all ways, but excelling at this form. An excellent, rustic saison.

On tap at LD's Beer Run, Jackson, MS.

A: Opaque lemon yellow with a frothy white head that lingers. Lacing for days.

S: Lemons abound with lots of citrus esters. Like a household cleaner, only beer.

T: Very light and summery. So easy to drink. Sweet and lemony.

M: Medium to heavy with tons of carbonation. Frothy and thick carbonation. I like.

O: A very sessionable saison. Can be enjoyed in mass quantities.

Pours hazy, gold, with 1/4 inch head and high carbonation. Taste is lemon, pepper, hay, and Belgian spice. Light, clean, and very true to style. Above average. Not the first saison I would reach for, but tasty.

L: Hazy straw under a 1” finely bubbled white foam cap that fairly quickly descends to a thick film
S: Funky aromas with fruit, over ripe fruit, lemon, citrus
T: Features several layers of lemon tartness from the wild yeast and added lemon balm and perhaps the hops seasoning fruit and over ripe fruit.
F: Very creamy with a wild yeast texture, medium to medium light body, above average carbonation
O: A very drinkable saison that nails the saison texture and provides an interesting array of flavors

22 oz bottle served in a Belgian snifter.

Slightly hazy golden body with a decent head that leaves spots of lacing.

Tart, yeasty and lemony aroma, with hints of peppercorns and apricots.

The flavor reveals both pilsner and wheat malts, faint hops with mild bitterness, herbal and lemon notes, and a mild-moderate tartness.

Medium+ carbonation with a light, dry finish.

Lemon-yellow color with huge, frothy white head. Good lacing. Something off in the taste. Big lemon, Belgian yeast. Mouthfeel is medium. Creamy quality to it. Easy drinker for sure. Not bad.

Pours an effervescent straw color with 2 fingers of pearl colored head. Stays effervescent throughout, Good head retention & lacing

S: Floral. grassy, pears

T: Follows the nose, pears, grassiness, lemongrass, dryness, white grapes & yeastiness up front. A little coriander & saffron as this warms, slight dirty yeast character with white grapes too. Finishes with white pepper & pear, some floral notes

MF Medium body, lively carbonation

Drinks easy, a pretty nice take on the style, wish I had some Indian food to go with this. Not great, but I would drink this again

This beer reminded me of Saison and Hefeweizen hybrid. I got a lot of yeasty banan-clove flavors with a bite of citrus. Overall, very good. Would drink again.

Abita Two Boots Saison has a thin, off-white head, a hazy, yellow-golden color, which really clouds up, once the bottom gunk is swished and poured in (think of a gray cloud). The aroma is of some bret, pepper, sweetness, malt, bread, and lemon, and the flavor is of all those elements with some sweetness, very low noticeable bitterness, and a slight grain husk note. Mouthfeel is medium and fluffy, and Abita Two Boots Saison finishes mostly dry and easily drinkable. RJT
