Bottle shared at August THT. Dark brown pour with a thin beige head. Notes of roasted coffee, brewed coffee, roasted malts, dark cherries, cocoa, alcohol. Medium to full bodied, medium carbonation and a roasty bitter finish.

On-tap 12/9/2016 at Doherty’s Ale House in Warwick, RI, served in a tapered pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a short beige head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains strong black coffee, bourbon and roasted malts.

T: The taste likewise starts out with strong flavors of bourbon and black coffee. Then a hearty roasted malt character comes in. The hops presence is very mild as expected and there are background flavors of dark fruit and smoke that create a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Smooth and crisp, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, slightly filling, strong kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.

Dark black with a 2 finger tan head.

Aroma: faint vanilla, it smells like root beer, slightest bourbon on the nose.

Taste: light roasted coffee, light roasted malt, faint vanilla and the bourbon is minimal at best.

Feel: thin for a 10% stout.

A beautiful half inch (give or take) head. Barely any light passing through. Great legs. As far as the taste, one of the most unique stouts I've had. The initial taste of the bourbon barrel this brew was aged in is astounding followed by a body full of coffee and a slight nutty taste. The aftertaste is a collection of all of these flavors combined, same goes for the aroma. Overall a wonderful beer, but be careful the alcohol content will sneak up on you. I would recommend this to those who appreciate a good stout. Enjoy!

From a Bomber BB 04/22/17 , very fresh. Pours a dark Mahogany with some crimson highlight a tan head with some lacing. Smell is wood, roasted malts, coffee chocolate and mild bourbon. Taste is good light bourbon with some roasted coffee nice flavors of chocolate, vanilla and roast infuse well and compliment the stout. A lighter stout with good bones tasty and nice to drink for
