Notes / Commercial Description:
Strawberry Harvest Lager is a wheat beer made with real Louisiana strawberries, picked late in the season when they’re at their sweetest. This brew has earned quite a reputation in a short time, causing the brewery to up their production year after year. When this brew is found, emails and phone calls fly to friends informing them of the store’s location. Strawberry Harvest is a crisp, light lager with just a hint of strawberry sweetness.

Very refreshing beer and a good changeup from all the citrus wheat beers out there. A beer that you could definitely drink multiples of on a summer day.

Wheat followed by a strawberry/vanilla taste that smooths out and fades.

Taste Rating in Words: Sitting around the pool, grilling, eating, enjoying and as the sun sets you finish the day off with a big piece of strawberry cheesecake.

Bottle to glass. Strawberry is strong in aroma, clean, not much else. Taste is light grass and strawberry, touch of Soapyness. Very easy drinking. Minimal carbonation and minimal head. Nothing special, but it’s an OK simple spring beer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle,into a Funky Buddha snifter.Best by 06/18/17.

Frothy white head that stands 1 finger tall with moderate retention, and sticky lacing.Hazy gold color with low clarity, and distorted light showing through the glass.Light amount of carbonation.

On the nose I get mostly strawberry and wheat combining with vanilla to give it a strong aroma of strawberry cheesecake! Seriously, that's all I can smell when I take a wiff of this brew is strawberry cheesecake!!!

The palate follows the nose with strawberry and wheat with vanilla.Tastes very much like strawberry cheesecake.

The mouth feel is thin and slightly sticky with small amounts of oxidation and a smooth finish.

I really did enjoy this beer, but I also love strawberries. It's pretty cut and dry with this beer.If you like strawberries try it.If you don't like strawberries then stay away.I would drink this one again.

Pours a clear golden color with lots of carbonation bubbles topped by a creamy white head of foam. Leaves some nice lacing on the glass.

Smells like a strawberry cereal. You get sweet strawberry and something like a cereal grain on the nose.

Taste is similar to the nose except without the sweetness. You get a grainy cereal flavor with a strawberry flavor in the background. Strange burn about mid tongue, hops coming through perhaps? The flavor comes across as a bit artificial but not to offensive.

Mouth feel is fairly light and finishes off nicely.

Overall glad I tried it. This is really not such a bad beer for something like a good hot summer day. Lucky for us we have been getting up there in temperatures. Seems like these "summer fit" beers are hitting the shelves a bit early.

Most fruit beers and I don't get along as they usually don't taste like the fruit they're meant to, but more of an artificial version. This tastes like real, fresh strawberries and I loved it. This is what a fruit beer should be.

It pours a light yellow with a thin head. Amour is of strawberry but fant. The taste is just bad, some hint of strawberry but real artificial. This is just bad I usually like most Abita but could not get pass about two sips.

Aroma was rotten, putrid strawberries. Flavor was hindered by the thinness of the body and was basically a mild strawberry flavor with some carbonic tang, some weird oily sweetness. The finish is a memory of that awful aroma.

The strawberries are undeniable. Beer is golden yellow with a white head, some lacing produced. Smell is overwhelmingly strawberries, with a standard lager malt beneath. The taste is the same - a straightforward lager overlain with strawberries. The beer is not sweet, and not exceptionally complex. Mouthfeel is just slightly smooth and slick. A decent beer but not exceptional aside from the strawberries; your response to the flavor will certainly depend on whether you like the berry influence. I like the berries, but the overall beer aside from them simply isn't complex enough to warrant a particularly high score.

Appearance - clear, deep yellow with fluffy white head that leaves behind thorough lacing.
Aroma - good hint of strawberry, light on malt
Taste - enjoyable, dry malt backing a hint of strawberry sweetness without being overpowering, very well balanced
Feel - relatively thin but fitting with the flavor profile, very pleasing on the palate

Strawberry Harvest Lager - Abita Brewing Co is nice and refreshing. Not too complex, sweet or over powering. Nice hit of strawberry as soon as the cap was popped. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a thick white head. A nice light taste and a nice light mouth feel. A super nice mixture of wheat and strawberry. For a wheat beer, I can say this one works for me. A good summer beer to say the least and very drinkable with a 4.2 ABV.

Great beer to have walking around in sun. The fruity aromas allow for good smells. The head disappears quickly so all the volatiles cant be released. It had a light taste and mouthfeel. The strawberry keeps the bitterness down quite considerably. The beer ended with a smooth finish that didn't linger very long.

Subtle strawberry smell and taste in a simple but well-crafted wheat beer. Very refreshing and an honest wheat beer complexity/quality that makes it very drinkable. If it was a little more strawberry, would it be better? Idk. I like this one because the fruit is just hinted at, not pounded on.

This brew is clear, yellowish-golden, with a tall white head. The aroma is thick with perfumey strawberries. Lots of fruit, although it seems a little inauthentic and artificial. The taste is light, fruity, full of delicate berries, and fizzy. It's a typical, sub-par fruit beer.

it's not overwhelmingly fruity which is nice but that might be what keeps it from having a great flavor though, it's good enough for an occasional beer.

Appearance is golden yellow with an inch of creamy white foam that fell fast. You can notice a slight haze and blush from the strawberry juice. Nose is sweet. really sweet smells a lot like playdough. Big scent of strawberry. Very authentic and lots of wheat. An herbal hop with a strong floral. taste is sweet. very carbonated almost fizzy. Pils malt is lost behind strong wheat character and the strawberry juice. Has an uncharacteristic tartness in the middle for a lager which is what they call it. For a fruit beer ok but it's still really sweet. Finishes a bit heavy and with plenty of residual sweetness.

Slightly on the dark side of a golden brew. It has a strong strawberry scent. It tasted faintly overripe strawberries with a little alcohol added. It felt light and great. This would be a great summer beer, especially for those who are strawberry fans. Abita hasn't let me down yet.

One of the best fruity lagers available. Very easy to drink. I like to introduce novice drinkers to this one. Currently mixing with darker bock beers for more ABV and heavier bodied taste and feel.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow with 1/2 finger head. Smells malty and sweet. Tastes light with a dry malty and strawberry finish. Not really my thing, but atleast the strawberry isn't overwhelming.

Look- Modestly hazy golden orange body, with a small, very dense off-whiter head, which slowly fades to a dusting of foam on the surface. Thin, fine beaded lacing leaves a ring on the glass walls.

Smell- I picked up mostly a malt smell with a bit of strawberry.

Taste- Not a whole lot of taste maybe a bit of strawberry and a malt but just kinda bland

feel- Light and watery

overall- if you want a strawberry flavored beer buy a different beer or for that matter if you want a beer with flavor. a letter grade of C to maybe a B- but that would be being very generous.

This was pale, almost in the realm of a white wine in terms of colour. No head to speak of.

I didn't smell much in the way of strawberry, which was unexpected. Instead he scent veered toward an astringent vanilla. Like an odd combination of vanilla extract and a touch of windex. The scent made me almost expect citrus.

The flavour is where the strawberry notes came in, along with strong malt flavours. It was, given the scent, unexpected, and mixed strangely in the mouth.

The feel was thin yet clingy. Not unlike a mineral oil.

This was definitely not my cup of tea. The elements seemed to be working at cross purposes to one another and the beer was weak overall.

Appearance: Modestly hazy golden orange body, with a small, very dense off-whiter head, which slowly fades to a dusting of foam on the surface. Thin, fine beaded lacing leaves a ring on the glass walls.

Aroma: Quite authentic strawberry notes dominate the aroma, with the malt yielding a mildly cake-like note, almost like, as others have said, strawberry shortcake.

Taste: The taste begins with very prominent strawberries, lacking the usual sugar flavor, as this has been fermented away. Beneath the strawberries, there is an understated, modest wheat malt presence. This supports, rather than vies with the strawberries. The taste profile is unusual, being dominated by strawberries, but having only a faint sweetness. Finishes with a lingering, dry strawberry note, and a bit of mild herbal hop bitterness.

Mouth feel: Smooth and full, soft, with moderate soft carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: Pleasant and drinkable, very refreshing for the summer months.

Presentation: Packaged in a short twelve-ounce bottle with a twist-off crown, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.

I love strawberries so I had to try it. Had it on tap. Light appearance with a decent head. Smells like strawberries, best part of the beer. Tastes like a light strawberry lager. Fruity and bready, similar to leinenkugel shandy. Light mouthfeel and carbonization. Overall it's good and refreshing
