Notes: Strawberry Harvest Lager is a wheat beer made with real Louisiana strawberries, picked late in the season when they’re at their sweetest. This brew has earned quite a reputation in a short time, causing the brewery to up their production year after year. When this brew is found, emails and phone calls fly to friends informing them of the store’s location. Strawberry Harvest is a crisp, light lager with just a hint of strawberry sweetness.

It pours a classic lager color of light straw, energetic, full white head settles nicely.
Smells AMAZING
Aromas of light malt support the fresh lush strawberry scent - forget hops exist and enjoy this succulent beverage!
Tastes PERFECT for its label, and beautifully executed lager with strawberry juice . Wow! After a 1 mile incline walk, this is perfect for a blooming spring change. So very berry chuggable.
Find and chug!

Pours a pale gold color with a finger of white head. Smells faintly of strawberry jam and tastes just like it smells. Very light and refreshing flavor, a good bit weather beer.

Smells like strawberry jam and toast. Taste is refreshing as hell and light. Not sweet just the right amount of strawberry added. Still tastes like beer. Not too filling very easy drinking

Very interesting fruit-infused lager that was quite enjoyable. Pours a slightly darker golden-amber color with a little foaming white head and very minimal spotty lingering lacing. Smells mainly of some malt, grain, light strawberries and a little cream. Taste follows the nose. But that vanilla creaminess is quite well done and very pleasant. Smooth, mild, slightly creamy mouthfeel with good carbonation. An enjoyable beer, especially considering I didn’t know what to expect and the strawberry sweetness was not overpowering.

Looks were clear with quick dissipating head. Some light lacing. Strawberry aroma blends in with a typical aroma of beer. Taste was slightly sweet and the strawberry flavor hit soon after and lingered. Smooth drinking, not for drinking one after another, but a good beer if you're looking to nurse one beer. Not bad at all and would purchase again for a special occasion.

Aroma is muddled and strawberry is noticable. Good carbonation as bubbles never left my glass.

Flavor is more.akin to strawberries and cream. Very smooth finish.

For my tastes it's noteworthy, but will not purchase again.

I like strawberries & I like this beer. The pour is well carbonated & the color is pale yellow with a hint of red probably due to the strawberry adjunct. I'm hoping with the taste that I taste actual strawberries & not the artificial cheap stuff. Wow! that's an incredible taste, the flavor is strawberry & grains. Moreover, this beer is like frankenberry cereal in a glass. Cheers! B

Drank it from the bottle so not sure about its appearance, light strawberry jam aroma. Nice strawberry flavor to it, with a slight processed taste to it like a strawberry compote, faintly tart with not too much sweetness to the berry flavor either. Decent malt body that gives adds mild biscuty sweetness with hints of wheat to it that gives me a slight strawberry shortcake impression. Very faint hint of hops on the back-end almost not even noticeable with a ghostly impression of spices like cinnamon and pepper. Light bodied with a higher then average amount of carbonation to it.

I love summertime with a stash of breakfast beers. Light, fruity. Low alcohol. Easy all day drinking. Strawberry flavor is not too sweet. A good poolside beer.

Pours a pale wheat chaff color. Aroma of strawberry. Tastes of natural strawberry without the sweetness. No detectable hops. Mouthfeel is light and fresh. My favorite strawberry-centric beer. I usually guzzle this from an ice chilled bottle.

Nostalgia. While living in New Orleans for 2 years I enjoyed this light spring lager. Usually you'd expect sweetness from a fruit, especially a strawberry picked late harvest, but this early heat wave pounder has a perfect balance of floral fruit character and a dry crisp finish. A 90% crystal clear, tight bubbles, decent lacing, shortcake, bubblegum, taffy, ripe strawberries, flowers, light cracker, wee bit tart, low bite, subtle hopping, and quite inviting to slam.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Clear light golden pour. A finger of fizzy white head. Falls fast... better than expected lacing.

S: Strawberry puree... fruity and sweet. Mild grains.

T/F: Light toasted malts... more 'beer' than expected. Strong strawberry flavor... light hopping for bitterness. Not overly sweet which is a good thing. Simple... crisp/refreshing. Ample carbonation.

O: If you want a light lager with some strawberry flavor then this will be right up your alley. Its saving grace is that it's not too sweet. Interesting to try once... would be hard pressed to revisit.

I consider the arrival of strawberry harvest one of the first signs of spring in Louisiana along with signs advertising availability of boiled crawfish. The two go hand in hand and are really great together.

Strawberry harvest is a refreshing and tasty fruit beer and my favorite of the strawberry beers offered regionally.

It is only available seasonally and I generally squirrel a couple six packs away to ease myself into summer.

L: gold with a slight haze under a 1" white foam collar with fair to poor retention

S: strawberry and honey with traces of caramel and biscuit

T: Strawberry is the big flavor and works well with the light malts and the moderate touch of hops

F: medium light body and medium high carbonation

O: a pleasant, flavorful summer beer.

Overall Not bad. The beer itself is pretty lackluster in flavor. The strawberry is there, but not a whole lot of fruity flavors appear. They meld with the lager and make it a little smoother. Overall, eh.

Ok but I was expecting more from a brewery that brews other flavored beers and is located close to a strawberry growing region. Not a memorable strawberry flavor.

Pours a very hazy pale yellow with a small white head. The smell is faint with no strawberry. The taste is ok and is smooth going down. I think like most lagers easy drinking just kind of bland.

Very refreshing beer and a good changeup from all the citrus wheat beers out there. A beer that you could definitely drink multiples of on a summer day.

Wheat followed by a strawberry/vanilla taste that smooths out and fades.

Taste Rating in Words: Sitting around the pool, grilling, eating, enjoying and as the sun sets you finish the day off with a big piece of strawberry cheesecake.

Bottle to glass. Strawberry is strong in aroma, clean, not much else. Taste is light grass and strawberry, touch of Soapyness. Very easy drinking. Minimal carbonation and minimal head. Nothing special, but it’s an OK simple spring beer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle,into a Funky Buddha snifter.Best by 06/18/17.

Frothy white head that stands 1 finger tall with moderate retention, and sticky lacing.Hazy gold color with low clarity, and distorted light showing through the glass.Light amount of carbonation.

On the nose I get mostly strawberry and wheat combining with vanilla to give it a strong aroma of strawberry cheesecake! Seriously, that's all I can smell when I take a wiff of this brew is strawberry cheesecake!!!

The palate follows the nose with strawberry and wheat with vanilla.Tastes very much like strawberry cheesecake.

The mouth feel is thin and slightly sticky with small amounts of oxidation and a smooth finish.

I really did enjoy this beer, but I also love strawberries. It's pretty cut and dry with this beer.If you like strawberries try it.If you don't like strawberries then stay away.I would drink this one again.

Pours a clear golden color with lots of carbonation bubbles topped by a creamy white head of foam. Leaves some nice lacing on the glass.

Smells like a strawberry cereal. You get sweet strawberry and something like a cereal grain on the nose.

Taste is similar to the nose except without the sweetness. You get a grainy cereal flavor with a strawberry flavor in the background. Strange burn about mid tongue, hops coming through perhaps? The flavor comes across as a bit artificial but not to offensive.

Mouth feel is fairly light and finishes off nicely.

Overall glad I tried it. This is really not such a bad beer for something like a good hot summer day. Lucky for us we have been getting up there in temperatures. Seems like these "summer fit" beers are hitting the shelves a bit early.

Most fruit beers and I don't get along as they usually don't taste like the fruit they're meant to, but more of an artificial version. This tastes like real, fresh strawberries and I loved it. This is what a fruit beer should be.
