On the neck of the bottle, it says: "BEST BY 05/13/18"

Appearance: The beer has a hazy, light straw colored body. It maintains a short white cap and doesn't produce lacing.

Aroma: It smells of grapefruit with a bit of a wheat scent. It smells just like you would expect it to.

Taste: There are three phases to this beer. In the first phase, when the beer is first consumed, there is this slightly tart citrus flavor. This is replaced in the second phase with a mix of soft grapefruit flavor and a bit of wheat. In the third phase the flavor of the beer finishes with a wheat cracker flavor and a slightly sweet tasting candied fruit end.

Mouthfeel: The body is lighter with just a touch of texture which keeps it from going dry. It is very carbonated and it has only a light bit of tartness.

Overall: it's a really enjoyable beer that gives a nice sweet, slightly tart citrus flavor without ever overdoing it. I would drink it again and I would recommend it.

Pours clear gold in color with minimal head. Taste is sweet ruby grapefruit, honey, orange soda, and tangerine. Sweet, light bodied with moderate carbonation. A lot sweeter than expected. Good sessionable tropical beer.

12 oz bottle with a BB date stamp of April 2018.
Pours with a lightly hazy golden body and a decent white head.
Sweet grapefruit, honey and baked bread in the nose. The flavor follows but is a little more bitter than sweet.
Light body with medium+ carbonation.
Refreshing and easy drinking with an attractive flavor.

L: Pours a light yellow gold with a slight bit of haze. Pours with less than a finger of white head which recedes quite quickly.

S: Grapefruit. Ruby red grapefruit. I've had my share of grapefruit beers, but this one smells the closest to the real thing.

T: Follows nose, but with some bready, wheat flavors on the end.

F: Light body, high carbonation. Easy drinker.

O: I wish they'd release this later. This would be far nicer to be drinking in May or June than in February when it's 10 degrees out. It's my only complaint.

Pours a hazy golden color. 1/2 inch head of a white color. Slight retention and poor lacing. Smells of strong grapefruit, hint of citrus hops, and a hint of lemon. Fits the style of an a Fruit/Vegetable Beer. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong grapefruit, slight pale malt, hint of honey, hint of lemon, and a hint of citrus hops. Overall, dominated by grapefruit, weak appearance, poor blend, average at best.

Pours a hazy golden color with a decent sized white foam head.
Predictably, the aromas are of grapefruit pulp and honey. The honey imparts sweetness. There is also the smell of wheat, grain and some floral tones.
Sweet in the taste overall, with an emphasis on grapefruit and honey. However, it is not overly sweet or one dimensional, as there is a gentle touch of hops and a bready malt background.
The finish is fairly clean and somewhat dry. The body is medium to light with a gentle carbonation, soft mouthfeel and wheat like smoothness.
Not a bad offering from Abita. A pleasant surprise that it wasn’t so cloying.

Dang! I’m not an Abita fan in general, but this concoction is extremely drinkable. It is not a pure, strict “beer,” but it definitely gets credit for creativity.

A: slight haze; medium gold in color; 1 finger white head that receded to a wispy cap; no lacing;

S: quite aromatic; all white grapefruit; the grapefruit smells quite fresh;

T: honey comes through first; in the middle, the grapefruit mixes with mint; by the finish, the taste seems metallic; very mild bitterness on the finish;

M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; lightly dry finish;

O: aroma was a lot more enjoyable than the flavor;

Light hazy gold color with small white cap.

Aroma of grapefruit and honey. That's about it but it is a clean, vivid scent.

Taste on entry is sweet grapefruit and, while not as intense as the scent is none the less clean, vibrant, rich without being overpowering yet at the same time a sense of fullness. Finish is simple, quick and with a lingering aftertaste that is refreshing.

Light texture with balancing carbonation.

I suppose this is in the Radler category where it fits in right well. No heavy handedness, just straightforward zesty citrus. Fruit juice in a glass with a bit of kick.
