Notes:
Amber is a Munich style lager brewed with crystal malt and Perle hops. It has a smooth, malty, slightly caramel flavor and a rich amber color. Abita Amber was the first beer offered by the brewery and continues to be our leading seller.

12 oz. bottle poured into stemless wine glass, $2.09 from HEB
Look: Medium amber color, heavy carbonation, 2-finger head, decent lacing
Smell: Malty, notes of caramel, toast
Taste: Medium bitterness, a little watery, toasty, a little sweet on the finish
Feel: Some chewiness bit soft, texture of water, carbonation does not seem to be active
Overall: Despite feeling a bit weak, it hits all the right notes for look, smell and taste. I would buy again.
Pair with tomato-based dishes, especially pasta, hard to semi-hard cheeses that would compliment the sweetness.

So much better than a Yuengling , but this site has it rated embarrassingly low. Regional bias.
Great amber colored lager with aromas of caramel malt, and weak head dies off...
Slammin lager taste with light caramel notes, watery finish in a way, and very crushable...

12 ounce bottle poured into a snulip glass.
L---Clear, reddish Amber color. Fluffy white head faded down into a cap and left very nice lacing.
S---Very faint. Light graininess & caramel.
T---Fortunately a lot stronger than the smell. Malty with distinct caramel.
F---Medium body with good carbonation.
O---A solid, tasty offering.

Bit of a hoppy bite, some fruit notes, malty finish. Surprisingly flavorful for an amber.

L-Shiny dark gold color with half inch white top. Inviting.
S-to style. No off aroma.
T-again to style. Agreeable and making me want to open another.
F-carbonation is lively, bubbles rising from bottom of glass the entire experience.
O-label says this Amber is Abita's top seller, and I can see why. Above average amber and recommended.

Appearance: Pours copper colored with about 1 – 1 ½ fingers of creamy off white foam. Very nice carbonation. Foam goes to a frothy film is about 5 minutes.
Smell: Mostly yeasty, some light fruitiness, a lttle leafy.
Taste: Really all I was getting was some maltiness. Low hop bitterness.
Feel: Light, wet and refreshing. Not a bad drink for a warm day.
Overall: My preferences are IPA’s and Stouts so this was a little on the low side of flavor for me. However, as I had said, this is a good drink for a warm day.

12oz bottle into a half pint glass. Best by 12/22/20, so 3+ months past optimum.
Looks decent in the glass. Clear dark amber body. Good slightly off white head persists in nice form throughout, though leaves little in the way of lacing.
Sweet malty aroma.
On tasting, its clean, somewhat sweet, and malty.
Mouth is medium. Initially the finish is sweet, but quickly turns metallic, spoiling the drink.
Overall, a decent clean brew let down in the finish. Not bad, but not something I would seek out. Perhaps draft would be better.

This is an okay amber lager. The pour is okay and the initial taste is pretty good. The finish is a bit harsh (imo) but overall it is not a bad Amber Red.
