From the neck of the bottle: "BEST BY 08/28/17"

Appearance: It has a nice looking dark amber body with great clarity. The head is thick and fluffy with a smooth textured surface and it is a slightly off-white color. It has great retention and some lacing.

Aroma: There is a light malt aroma and just a touch of a slightly spicy and herbal hop aroma.

Taste: I get a light bit of toasted caramel throughout and just a touch of bitterness at the end. A light nutty flavor at the end as well.

Mouthfeel: It has perfect carbonation and it feels great on the palate. It is light and highly drinkable. Overall just a great drinking experience.

Overall: While the beer didn't resonate with fantastic aroma and flavor it was still a very enjoyable beer and the drinking experience was great. I would drink it again and I would recommend it.

Pours a nice Amber with a cream colored head.

Smells of roasted malt herbal hop and caramel.

Taste is a nice hit of roasted malt with notes of whole grain bread and caramel, balanced a bitter herb dry finish.

Another good offering from Abita. They state on their bottles that they use the "best" ingredients.

Great to know. This beer has a great flavor for a USA craftie, without the 19 lbs of hops per bottle.

A good beer to enjoy anytime. Thanks Abita!!!

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Funky Buddha snifter.Best by 06/17/17.

Soapy off white / light khaki head that stands one finger tall with low retention and sticky lacing.Hazy amber colored body with moderate clarity.Low on carbonation.

On the nose I get sweet caramel and breaded malts, with some nutty notes.Very slight hint of citrus hops, but pretty subdued.

The palate follows the nose with caramel malts up front, nutty flavors in the middle, and some small flavors of pine on the back end, balanced by sweet and bready malt.

The mouth feel is medium / thin, silky texture, smooth finish, and minimum oxidation on the tongue.

This is a pretty decent amber ale.I'm not a huge fan of the style but out of the ones I've tried, this is one of the best.I wouldn't look for it,but would drink it if offered to me.

This is a straightforward and simple amber ale. It's the kind that used to be the hallmark of the local brewpub or craft brewery. It's malty, has a solid early and slightly floral hop aroma...toasted biscuit and nut flavors, and a clean finish. Medium-full in body and very easy to drink.

Good amber beer although there wasn't much special about it. It did go great with the catfish I had. Had it on tap at Brisbi's in New Orleans, would recommend (both beer and restaurant).

Pours a relatively clear copper amber color with a modest head that shows o.k retention in the form of a thin ring collar.
The aroma was a bit of a surprise in that it had an artificially sweetened ice tea quality to it. I feel like this detracted from the aromatic experience. Although some toasted malt aromas made themselves known later, the ice tea smell lingered.
The taste consisted of toasted malt with a modest hops spice that provided a balance. Not complex at all, even clean at times. However, I feel like the mouthfeel had a roughness to it that detracted from its drinkability.
I don't see myself buying this again.

Hard to know if I am rating this beer correctly , since I was pouring down my throat during a drunken week in New Orleans during Madi Gras . It went done really well in the heat
